The Sheraton is perfectly located - in the CBD but with the sanctuary of Hyde Park, and the convenience of St James railway station, on the other side of the street (about 15 minutes from the airport by train). We chose to walk to Circular Quay, where the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are located. It is about a 20 minute stroll. If you don't want to walk, just take a train. it's one stop, and about 3 minutes away, and the station is right on top of Circular Quay. We took a not huge but very comfortable pleasant room with 2 single beds, couch and writing desk, and walk-in closet (with safe). The facilities are basic - beds, TV & DVD player spacious bathroom with bath and shower, bar-fridge, and a kettle (no microwave or kitchen); but I believe suites with a kitchen are available. There is an excellent gym, pool, sauna and steam room available for use between 6am and 9pm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In the lobby we able to use the internet and printer to arrange boarding passes for our flight home.

Nice hotel, convenient location

Wasn't impressed with customer service at all. They tried to charge us for our room and services numerous times and were incompetent with their computer systems.

Wonderful views and close to the city.

Our 5 night stay at the Sheraton was most enjoyable. The staff immediately upgraded us when the room we were allotted had a problem with the doors. The room was very clean and well maintained and the view over Hyde Park was picturesque. Staff members were always polite and went out of their way to assist us as required. My only negative comments probably relate to our own idiosyncrasies. Firstly the temperature in the room could not be set to less than 17 degrees which was too high for comfortable sleeping (coming from the cooler climes of Melbourne) and the sound on the TV would not go above 27 making it difficult for older people to hear. Otherwise a wonderful stay.

Perfection.

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Perfect customer service! Upon checkin, I waited 5min at reception who was on the phone. When i moved to an available receptionist, he apologised for my 5min wait. The bell boy offered to help with our very small bags. The concierge answered within 1 ring. Multiple taxis were waiting in valet - i had no wait time. Room service was delivered on the dot. The food was great. King size bed was heavenly. Overall, a fantastic experience.

Nice hotel close to places of interest

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Sheraton is chosen because it's in a central and convenient location for our relaxation and activities.
Cons: Reception Desk is busy all the time. May be we could have been offered Express Check out?
Location: Westfield Sydney - beautiful shops and restaurants. Food Court is amazing. Walk in Hyde Park. Bus to Circular Quay for ferries.
We had 3 nights for relaxation, shopping, and eating at different venues in Westfield and nearby. Sheraton is chosen because it's very convenient for our age - Everything within 10 minutes walk. A good location too to catch buses and train to Circular Quay for ferries, for walking, and sight seeing. The room is comfortable and we are glad we got upgraded to a room with view to the Hyde Park.

Central city hotel

Pros: Location, lovely rooms, very clean and well appointed
Location: Close to shops, cafes and resataurants. A quick walk to circular quay to catch a ferry to the Zoo or Manly. Catch buses to the lovely beaches.
The hotel is ideally located for public transport options, shopping, cafes and restaurants. We came up from Melbourne for the weekend to catch up with family in Sydney. The hotel is excellent and we will stay here again.

Pros: Location was great across the road from Hyde Park and right near Pitt Street mall.
Spent a night at hotel. Really pleasant stay. Good customer service.
