boutique hotel well placed, close to water frontPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: I liked the size of the hotel -10 stories, the general decor, the friendly staff
Cons: My husband found the air conditioning loud at night-(it didn't worry me) we turned it off during the night, and didn't miss it
Location: Close to water front, walked up from train, loads of restaurants, parks, close by,
Staff were very friendly, hotel is closer to water front rather than main shops, very comfortable, had a very tasty meal in the bar, they make a mean cocktail, had a lovely old school feel

Cold room, great bathroomPosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: The bathroom
Cons: The heating. Bigger beds.
Location: Close to Circular Quay, CBD and short walk to the Rocks.
On our 2 night stay the heating was an issue. We were cold and the air conditioning would not heat up. After front desk staff attempted to fix the air conditioning, the solution we were given was a fan forced heater. It was a long night of noisy fan and dehydration. The heating was fixed by the following afternoon. We had a twin share room with disappointingly small double beds. The bathroom was the best feature of the room. Great location.

Great locationPosted Aug 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very good overall. The only issue was that the car parking did not allow internal access to the hotel, and with considerable luggage this proved to be slightly inconvenient. Thankfully, the weather was fine but I would like to make the trek from the underground to the lobby in the rain with luggage in tow.

A little disappointingPosted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: Location, staff manner
Cons: Room service was disappointing, room needed a bit of renovating.
Location: Great location.
Hotel is in a great location. Not completely five star as they report. Room needed a bit of attention, quite worn down, our room had peeling wall paper and a broken heater. House keeping was also a bit lacking, seemed a bit of a rush job most days, hardly first class. Gym facilities were disappointing. Staff were very helpful and the lobby was impressive.

Great Hotel and ViewsPosted Jul 18, 2013
Pros: Very professional staff
Location: After travelling around Sydney City - I thank my lucky stars that we were fortunate to stay at Sir Stamford, Circular Quay with its old world charm
As we turned up at the hotel we were greeted by the conceriege who took our bags, followed by the hotel staff who were very pleasant and professional. Our room was wonderful as we had a balcony which overlooked the Botanic Gardens (and Opera House) - everything went perfectly

Ideal location v clean and comfortable hotel @ 5*Posted Jul 16, 2013
Pros: room facilities, bathroom size, nightgown slippers and breakfast room service
Cons: sorry i had to leave, nothing bad to say about the hotel
Location: Perfectly location to botanic gardens, opera house and harbour bridge, restaurants and bus station - all within short walking distance.
Great choice. Perfectly located v. close to botanic gardens, opera house and harbour bridge, harbour restaurants, customs house and bus station - all within 5 mins walking distance or less. Hotel v. nice, provides great room service selection at reasonable prices and has v. good facilities like bathroom size, bedroom size, cleanliness, magazines, nightgown and slippers, hotel pool, in-room fridge facilities, T & Coffee - i would definitely stay at this hotel again if I returned to Sydney and I would stay at other hotels in this chain based on my experience at Sir Stamford at Sydney.
