“Sofitel Wentworth Sydney Outstanding!!!”

We recently spent a week in Sydney, Australia and had the good fortune to book at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel. This hotel is located just blocks from Circular Quay and the train station, making it well located to many attractions throughout the city. Beyond the location, the service at this hotel was excellent. Staff including the concierge, receptionist and doorman were exceedingly helpful in attaining directions, internet access and guides to local attractions. As we were departing, the doorman took 10 minutes to help us with directions on driving to the Hunter Valley and gave us winery recommendations as well. Our room was extremely comfortable, even though we had the least expensive class of room, it was mainly an issue of view, as our bedding, TV, amenities and cleanliness were excellent. I can recommend this hotel without hesitation.

“Would absolutely return”

I had already received a great rate from Expedia for my three day stay, but while checking in, an upgrade at no charge was offered by the reception staff! The room was extremely clean, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and no unwanted noise crept into the room. The only thing that did not meet my expectations was the extra charge breakfast. The service was indifferent, the food selection weak considering the cost, but options abound for breakfast near the hotel.

“Great hotel for a holiday”

We stayed here for 4 days and used the hotel as our hub for exploring the city. It's very central to everything including the trains making it very easy to get around. The staff was very friendly and also had great restaurant recommendations that went beyond the standard "travel guides" that we read. It was a great value and we would stay here again.

The Sofitel was great. Location was perfect. Close to almost all attractions and activities that Sydney has to offer. The price was very reasonable and the staff was more than helpful. My only disappointment was that wi-fi was not free. Overall, I highly recommend the Sofitel and can't wait to return.

“Sydney in November”

The Sofitel was awesome! My family and I enjoyed our stay there a lot. It was out of the hussel and bussel of the busier areas of Sydney (it was in the business district) but still there was a lot of restaurants and bars close by. The decor was very appealing. Breakfast was a little pricey if it is not included in your package, but there are a lot of places close by (some close on the weekends however). The rooms were nice, very contemporary and well kept. Overall I would definitely return!

“Great Location”

Overall, the room was not much more than a bed, but I wasn't travelling to Sydney to stay in my hotel room, so who cares?! The bed itself was perfectly comfortable, and the location could not be beat. The hotel was plenty clean/nice and offered a decent value vs some of the alternatives with similarly desirable locations. You won't regret staying here.
