Great holiday, loved the hotel, lots of places to eat and shop, staff very helpful, nice amenities (gym, pool, business center) AND YOU'RE PRACTICALLY ON THE BEACH!

“Very Nice”

This hotel is situated directly across the street from Bondi Beach. It is a short drive from downtown Sydney, yet maintains a more relaxed feel. There is also a roof top pool, and hot tub to enjoy. They had a 24 hour bell desk that would answer any question.. and I mean any! I was very impressed with this hotel, and would stay here again in a heart beat.

“Enjoyed Bondi Beach!!”

Just returned from one week in Sydney; stayed at the Swiss Spa Resort the whole time and really enjoyed it. The location is great; no more than 5 min walk to Bondi Beach; bus stop right around the corner to take you to into the main part of Sydney (Darling Harbor, Circular Quay, etc...). Staff were helpful and friendly; room was comfortable and roomy (I was by myself). Didn't try out the spa part of the hotel nor did I eat in the restaraunts (the restaraunts seemed expensive such as $30 continental breakfast). There is a small coffee/pastry shop set up in the lobby with good stuff. There is a business center with two desktops with free internet (20 min max) if you need it. No problem walking around the neighborhood after dark; there is lots of foot traffic in that area. Quite a few places to eat and shop at Bondi Beach though I was surprised at the relatively high cost of eating out. There are Hungry Jacks (Burger King) and McDonalds for more affordable fare as well as several convenience stores. At most of the other places expect to pay approx $20-$30 per person per meal (Burger/fries/drink for example). There are several good pizza places as well as Thai, seafood, and good smoothie and ice cream/gelato shops.

We found this a wonderful hotel with everything you would expect. I would recommend the Swiss Grand to anyone wanting the best and most relaxing time in Sydney!

“very nice”

This hotel is lovely. The room we had had an extra living area and small balcony with views of Bondi Beach. The only downside was that our room had an inter-connecting door in the living area and we could hear noise all night from the connecting room. Keeping the door shut to the bedroom may help minimise this. Had a beautiful pizza from bondi pizza just next to hotel, would definately recommend this restaurant.

“Great hotel in a great situation.”

Reading some other reviews on the internet before I booked I was prepared for it not to be too great. Surprise - it was wonderful! Lovely hotel. Good situation ( pity it rained though!). View to die for. Nearby shops for small groceries/bus passes and a Vodaphone shop at the back. Bus stop outside into city. Polite and helpful staff. Nice lobby with quality cafeteria and very good value Wifi in one corner. Helpful concierges - maybe not very knowlegeable but they were happy to look up their files and go on the internet to help out.

“luxurious stay”

My husband and I were very happy when we found this hotel. It was right by the beach, service was exceptional, my husband loved the 24 hour business center, and we got the hotel at a wonderful price. I highly recommend staying here!
