“Good but..”
very good location. also very modern - very cold atmpsphere and decoration. Lobt ob 8-th floor. Charging almost 30 $ a day for wifi connection should extinct of this world.
“Loved it”
Excellent, prompt service. Loved the bathroom. Great windows, comfortable bed and wonderful location. I would definately stay there again!!!
“very nice experience”
The location is excellent, you are able to walk, take subway or short cab ride to most major tourist areas in Sydney. Just outside the hotel entrance you can enter a very large shopping mall with a large food court. We did not eat at the Hotel, but the lobby bar and restaurant looked nice. The room was very attractive, bed was comfortable, bathroom was large. The pool area was small, but nice. We would stay there again.
“Christmas in Sydney”
The location is this hotel's main attraction: within easy walking distance of Darling Harbor, and Pitt Street Mall. Circular Quay and The Rocks are a bit longer walk, but still a taxi is not necessary unless the weather is poor or you are extremely tired. The property is a bit older, but in good shape. The rooms are a decent size - bigger than you might expect for a hotel in the Central Business District, but not huge. The bathroom is larger than a typical American hotel, with separate shower and bath. Furniture had been recently updated, but the mattresses could have been a little more comfortable. Breakfast was good, with a good selection of baked goodies as well as the usual hot items. Our only complaint about breakfast was that the staff were overwhelmed the week between Christmas and New Year's, when the hotel got busier. The multi-lingual staff are friendly and very helpful. Minor irritations: we had to call to have the toilet repaired (it ran on and on); the room safe had been left locked by the previous guest and we had to call security to have it reset; the "heated" outdoor pool was very, very cold; and the hotel charges $18 AUS for a load of laundry (washer and drier). But they do provide the detergent free of charge.
“Stay somewhere else”
From check in, no friendly service, the internet service is expensive and is VERY slow in room at $25.00 a day, the steam room smelled so bad that I wouldnt even go in (in a spa area no less), construction next store and room overlooked that. I didnt expect the world but a 4 star hotel and you get this? Save your money and stay elsewhere. Room clean and location good but that is it.
“Great Location”
Interior appointments were very nice and it made an excellent home base for exploring the city both by foot and public transportation.
“In the heart of Sydney”
Location was terrific - right in the heart of downtown Sydney. We were within walking distance of lots of the visitor attractions. Bus, subway and ferries were easily accessible. The conceirge staff were terrific at helping us find our way around. Having a car would have been difficult (they drive on the other side of the road) and expensive but public transportation was very easy. Underneath the hotel is a mall with a large food court, which was a convenient, quick and reasonable place to get meals. The hotel rooms were well maintained and attractive.
“Very Nice Hotel!”
The Swissotel was a very nice place to stay in Sydney. Great location close to transportation and shopping, friendly service, good amenities.
“Excellent”
Would definitely go back to the Swissotel!
“Great location & clean modern facilities”
Very clean and modern facilities. Hotel is on 8th floor and above in the building with stores below. The very bottom level has a nice food court with wide range of international cuisine. Friendly & efficient staff.
