This hotel needs to pull up its socks!Posted Oct 22, 2013
The actual room was OK - needed a bit of sprucing up - walls marked etc! Communication at reception was appalling with the staff managing to mess up parking arrangements - telling me I had paid and a place would be reserved - returned next day to find I had not paid and there was no reserved parking space. I was there three nights and our room was not serviced the entire time. Good central position - but would not return.

Hotel in perfect location for visiting the hospital. Amenities good, quiet, and within walking distance of restaurants.

I had to stay in a hotel for my job interview in Prince of Wales hospital. Initially , I was confused by the afterhour instructions how to get the keys as there was no receptionist after 6.30pm . The room was clean, tidy, nice decorations, comfy bed, great balcony and reasonable toilet. Overall,I was very satisfied for what I paid for and strongly recommend this nice hotel.

Pros: Location to Hospital
Location: Close to Hospital
The address given was in Blenheim St, but this is actually the rear of the premises. We arrived at night and there was not lighting or signage. The actual entrance was in the next street and again no lighting a prominent signage. The balcony light could not be switched off so the room was to bright through the night and the noise coming from the street was very disturbing. Room and toilet-shower very cramped. Consequently a very poor nights sleep was had.

Overall good, great location wrt the Hospital. They didn't give instructions on how to gain entry to the hotel at 1900 at night, nor how to get a new room keycard when the cleaners somehow reset the lock on the door.

Experience at the Blenheim HotelPosted Feb 26, 2013
Pros: Closest to the UNSW campus where my daughter is enrolled.
Cons: Not as clean as I expect and lack of daily servicing of the room.
Location: The location was the reason I selected the hotel.
I didn't know there wouldn't be daily service for towels and linens. The remote control for the air conditioner and tv were very dirty as well as the clock radio. Not the cleanest place I have ever stayed at. No one was on the property after 6 PM. Office person was nice and answered our questions when asked. The hotel is directly across the street from the children's hospital and would be very convenient for people needing to stay near there.

Good & convenient; shame about the road noise.Posted Feb 5, 2013
Pros: Location, free wi-fi
Cons: Road noise
Location: Perfect if you have something on nearby
V convenient location (UNSW, hospitals, racecourse, loads of restaurants - all within short walks). The room itself was really good. Good value for money. Free wi-fi (slightly slow, but good enough). The only problem was the noise (I was on the High Street side). The windows let in all the road noise, and it's a fairly busy road. I dealt with it by using ear plugs, but couldn't swap room because the hotel was full. I don't think this is a reason to avoid the hotel, but worth bearing in mind (?ask for a room on the quiet side). But despite that, I'd still stay here again if I were coming to Randwick for something. My suggestion to The Blenheim would be to either make the High Street side cheaper, or to install double glazing.

We were looking for simply a place to sleep while visiting family in the area. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom small with little space to leave toiletries. The shower overflowed unless you reduced the water pressure. In summary -ok room for our needs but not exciting.

Not as represented on websitePosted Dec 28, 2012
Pros: Very close to Randwick shopping centre
Cons: The deceptive advertising on the website, the noisy bathroom door.
Location: Handy to Randwick shopping.
The place is okay but comparing to the pictures on the website we were very disappointed; they are very deceiving, the room is very small. The table and chairs do not fit into the room, they are on the balcony outside, the picture on the website is taken to make it look as though they are in the room. The bathroom smelt mouldy. Kitchenette is shared facility. There are no tea and coffee facilities and hairdryer in the room as advertised on the website. There is a washing machine and dryer available in the laundry and laundry powder is supplied with the cost of the machine.
