Friendly staff

The staff were very friendly but the accommodation was very sub standard. Sagging mattress, wobbly bunk bed with broken slat on top bunk , mould on ceiling and in shower, lifting carpets, aircon not working everything very old and worn.

Nice hotel

Posted Aug 19, 2014
My first time in Sydney, the hotel staff were the friendliest I've ever seen. It's a short bus ride to all the main attractions or a long walk. There are many hotels a lot closer to the "downtown" but this one is in a neat little neighborhood with its own charm. I really liked it there. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.

The Haven Inn, Glebe

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: it is very cheap and clean but close to everything - great cafes, markets, shops, transport and in a very cosmopolitan suburb.
Cons: The quality of the carpets and furnishings.
Location: Great cafes and restaurants, Saturday markets at Glebe, accessible transport, close to Newtown shopsand theeh Enmore theatre, and the centre of Sydney

Surprise package in the heart of busy Sydney.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Secure parking underneath the building at a reasonable price per night.
Cons: We had table lamps at the bedside but they had no power point to plug in to!
Location: Glebe is funky and interesting with great transport options to the city. Great breakfast and coffee from street cafe a quick walk down the street.
The Haven Inn was an unexpectedly economical and enjoyable find for a small business couple from the bush. Excellent service from a friendly staff. A bit of a climb to the room (no lift) but accommodation is very clean, comfortable and cosy. Convenient, cost effective and close to everything!

Handy to city

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Location good cheap food around nearby
Cons: Less noisy room not on road side
Location: Restaurants and great hotel accross the road.
Good pleasing comfortable stay but a little noisy as we had a roadside room. Would be better in one of the off road rooms. Nice private pool area.

Nice hotel close to Sydney CBD

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Cons: Sound-proofing the rooms, improving privacy, upgrading the beds.
Hotel Staff were very helpful with all my needs, the hotel is situated in the heart of Glebe with so many cafes to choose from. overall the hotel room itself was pleasing the bed was rather uncomfortable for my liking. The en suite was a bit to small ( although I am not a big person ) the rooms were not entirely sound-proof meaning guests can hear each other and the traffic directly outside the hotel.
