Absolute excellent in servicePosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: Cannot find any fault in their service, from the front the front-desk to the restaurant.
Location: Great view from our balcony, although is not exactly in the center of the city, it is a walking distance.

Old School luxuryPosted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: Rooms were spacious and had everything you could need.
Cons: Give me a decent sized coffee mug. Very small fancy cups, while probably correct, do not cut it these days.
Location: Located easy walk from The Rocks, Harbour, Bridge, Circular Quay, Trains and shopping in the city centre.
Easy to get to, close to city and The Rocks. We went for a few days break and The Langham was the perfect getaway. Old School luxury is the best description I could give. Loved it.

Outstanding staff the highlight of this hotelPosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: The wonderful staff were outstanding, our city view room was spacious and beautiful.
Cons: Perhaps more choice at breakfast.
Location: All the attractions of The Rocks, Darling Harbour, the Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay were in easy walking distance.
This hotel is located in a quiet street a little removed from the tourist area of The Rocks which is a good ten minute walk away. We had a three day holiday here and found it very restful. From the small number of other guests observed, it appears to be used mainly by business people (generally male). However there were a number of conferences occurring in the evenings. Perhaps because of the apparent small number of guests, it was very personal. Each time we entered the dining room we were greeted by name by helpful, friendly and attentive staff members. The doorman and concierge were also welcoming and attentive. The buffet breakfast was modest but sufficient. It was less than warm on one morning but this situation was remedied the following morning. However it was significantly less opulent than experienced in other Langham hotels. This may be because of its 'businessman focus'.

The hotel was lovely but a little rough around the edges. Some new wallpaper, carpet and a refurbishing of the furniture would put this hotel at the top. It was clean, just worn down a bit. The premium service by all the hotel staff was excellent. I have only been to one other hotel with service like the Langham, and that was the Amstel hotel in Amsterdam which is a five star hotel. The staff at the Langham gave five star service. My wife and I had a wonderful stay.

Ideal quality & locationPosted Aug 14, 2013
Pros: Location to all Sydney's best attractions Low rise building in quiet, safe street close to train station, bars & restaurants.
Location: Perfect for any Sydney city visit. Convenient to everything without being right inside the busy CBD area.
Excellent hotel from a location perspective - right in between Darling Harbour,The Rocks and Circular Quay. Generally high quality building, only a few storeys high so very personal and not crowded. Had one unpleasant issue when we checked in - a strong cigarette smell in our room. So we asked to be moved to another room which took about 40 minutes to achieve. We had to go down to reception to collect another key after waiting for 30 minutes for someone to come up. Once we were moved everything was fine, The room was perfect and the staff extra pleasant, helpful & friendly. The hotel contributed to us enjoying our best short stay ever in Sydney

Great locationPosted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed our stay at the Langham, the service was very good and the property is high quality. It presents an aesthetic from an earlier era of fine hotels very different from the ultra modern minimal look. It is low rise and feels intimate and cosy. Very easy to walk to all the main areas of Sydney

Terrible. The receptionist handling our compliant was a disgrace and offered nothing. Bad training from a five star facility.
