central location

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: The proximity to the city.
Cons: Attitude of staff and window sound proofing.
Location: Plenty of restaurants nearby. Can walk to city, catch train or bus.
Okay location with public transport and shops nearby. However street noise a problem. Room located on first floor above restaurant - traffic and people noise an issue. Staff indifferent. Basic facilities OK for a short stay.

Right in the center of the entertainment district

Rooms are cozy however you spend most of your time out and you have the entire city right infront of you...

Overall is fine but no cleaning during 4 nights

Posted May 12, 2014
Hotel staffs are so friendly, No cleaning bathroom or setup bed during 4 nights stayed just gave us new towels. If anyone get room 12, please ignore and change to another room. Prepare to hear all of every sounds of cafe kitchen such as plates, machine, staffs conversation and etc. Cafe closed around 11pm-6am. You will hear again around 6.30am for breakfast time.

Small but central

Posted Apr 26, 2014
Pros: Handy location, comfortable big bed.
Cons: A lift to get heavy luggage upstairs, room lighting. Free wi-fi.
Location: Very central, Kings Cross station within easy walk, plenty of restaurants nearby and shopping.
Everything we needed, disappointing distance with parking, handy location. A proper city experience.

Good location but very basic!

Very basic accommodation. New bed linen and room service only once in an eight day stay! Clean towels every day but often had to be reminded! Excellent location however but not much else to recommend.

Nice location, small room

Posted Apr 5, 2014
We appreciated the king sized bed but it really was too big for the room. If you stay here, bring your own facecloth, as none is supplied. Clean room in a great location, with extremely helpful staff.

Maisonette hotel: convenient, but very budget

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Great location and close to a good bookshop
Cons: Room ventilation
This hotel offers an excellent location, with ten minute walk to the Botanic Gardens. It is also close to excellent cafes and restaurants and a great bookshop. It was clean, and the staff were helpful. However, in late summer, it was uncomfortably hot. There was no airconditioning, and poor ventilation. A ceiling fan did little but move the hot air around.

Close to everything I needed

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Close to everything
Cons: Bathroom facility needs a floor mat or mop
Location: Close to everything
Would stay again but on the 1st floor....the shared bathroom was ok but needed a floor mat or mop to dry floor as floor stayed wet from previous shower user. Good budget hotel.
