Looking to stay in Manly?

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Have to say the location of this hotel is brilliant. Step out the door you are on the beach. Easy walk to from the warf, central to all the attractions. I had a standard room out the back, was very spacious, clean and comfortable, balcony had a glimpse of the ocean. Sure I would be raving about my experience, if I had been given a room with ocean view!! Overall very happy.

Tidy hotel right on the beach.

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: In the back block but with a limited sea view from the shady and windy balcony. Clean and tidy room. Found the unexpected free launderette useful
Cons: The main issue is the odd layout of the hotel which is not changeable. Could do with its own unfranchised bar and restaurant for the excessive price.
Location: Manly beach opposite. Very nice 1/2 hour ferry across sydney harbour to the opera house etc. Life is found on manly corso a short walk away.
You get an opal travelcard from the airport, train to circular quay and get the manly ferry from there for a great ride through the harbour. Its a shortish walk across from the ferry down Manly corso (shops) to the beach and a few hundred yards right. Layout is the only issue as everyone says. The back block has a pool with afternoon sun, access thru a free launderette (odd but useful). Beach out the front had limited bathing due to currents and jellyfish.Enjoyed the wharf bar at the ferry stop with some good food deals. Manly corso has the Steyne bar with lots of beers but very young and noisy. You can go for a long walk around to the 'Spit' from the quay and get a bus back - lots of wildlife to see.

Dear Keith, Thank you for sharing your experiences from your recent stay with us, great to see that you were able to take advantage of some of the walks and enjoy the wildlife of the Manly area. Manly has a lot of great walks that are close by to the hotel, and of course the wonderful restaurants and cafe's that are within easy reach of the hotel. I agree that the ferry across from the city is a beautiful way to way to travel. Kind regards, Nikki Little, General Manager The Sebel Manly Beach

Lovely hotel - make sure you ask for sea view

Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Make it clear what's an apartment and what's a room, and which tower has the seaview.
Great hotel. My first visit, Feb 2014 was excellent, so I had no hesitation to book again in Feb 2015. However, I didn't realize (wasn't made aware through Expedia?), that I was booking a hotel room without a seaview, when last time I had an apartment with a seaview. Bit of a difference, so make sure you ask for the seaview, and an apartment.

Dear Anne, thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for the great review. I am sorry you did not realise that the Superior rooms are located in South Tower as we do include a description of the range of rooms available. I will follow up to ensure this is being displayed on all our booking channels to allow you the option to book your preferred room type.
