There was no TV or radio in room, flickering light outside bedroom, no screen on the window allowing ctitters to enter and we saw at least 6 cockroaches in the bathroom
My daughter had bedbugs bitten all over her chest stomach arms everywhere , staff keep questioning my stay even so I payed upfront very difficult communication hotel phone to on website was not working at all . Would not recommend this hotel to anyone it was an extremely disgusting experience.
Value for money, good position for Cockle Bay.
No air conditioning only fans, so a 40 deg day can be hot.

The gentleman on reception was lovely, even remembered my name when i checked out the next day. The room was clean but there was a couple of hairs in my bed ( must have been from the cleaner as the sheets were definitely new). The tiles in the shower were very slippery, i almost fell while having a shower.
Very cheap bnb less than a 5 min walk to darling harbour, room was so clean smelled fresh it had blockout curtains and very high ceilings and the linen on the bed was so soft and fresh. Slept like a baby. There was a sink in the room to save me from having to go back and forward to the shared bathroom. Overall was a great stay, manager was lovely and have absolutely recommended it a few times already since yesterday. Would stay again.
The only downside was the sound of repetitively closing doors around 9-11pm which eventually stopped when everyone was in bed :)
Property in serious need of maintenance. Probably worst pillow ever (almost nothing in it!!), bed- could feel all the springs, way past use by. Toilet seat, have never seen worse, surface of the plastic was ruff, felt bad and looked bad, for such a cheap item why hasn't it been replaced. Noticed the property is for sale, perhaps that explains the lack of maintenance. Overall very disappointing.
1. No spare 2nd set of keys when requested
2 Very obvious hole in the blanket starring st me in the face as I open the door to the room
3. No TV remote. Able to secure s half- broken one from front desk that works!
4. Room was unaired n dusty. Had to open windows to get ventilation going n found the fly screen broken
5. Leaking tap in common toilet
6. Broken toilet seat in common toilet
7. No bath mat in common shower

Location, location, location, friendly desk staff with baggage storage
No lift. Fairly run down property. Room was big but needed updating. Holes in wall where a heater had been mounted but taken off and not taken off well.
The accommodation was well located. It was clean and bathroom facilities were well maintained and adequate.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I thought it was great value for money
Hey you can call tomorrow and get my money back and then I am putting a complaint in to the tribunal for leaving us out in the streets for the whole night

Appreciated the upgrade to room with a private bathroom!
This is a hostel, not a hotel, and not a good one.
While the price and location are appealing, think very carefully about choosing this “hotel”. This is clearly more suitable for backpackers or those who have very low expectations. Describing it as a hotel or a B&B is far from accurate, it’s a hostel and even at that, we had problems.
We booked what was described as a double room with en suite. It had 4 beds in it and the “double bed” was two old single beds pushed together. The curtains and walls were dirty, the noise from the street and the reception were unbelievable and the light from the street kept the room from being properly dark all night.
When we arrived, we were told to collect our keys from a key box outside the hotel (not in view of anyone) and discovered this hadn’t been locked because “someone was still in” which was pretty questionable security. We then asked if we could change one of the towels when in the room because it was stained but were told just to use another one and it was “just burned” not stained.
Maybe backpackers will be happy to put up with this place but we weren’t. We left 1 day into a 3 day stay to go and spend the rest of our trip to Sydney in an actual hotel...
Did not realise no bathroom facilities in room, outside in corridor, not ideal, bathroom barely adequate, heavy mould on ceiling. Beds and bedding not very good either. Kitchen very minimal and basic.
It was sufficient. They where very friendly and greeted back in the morning. There service was great. It is not very fancy, but I just needed a bed so all good. Overall I was happy. I like plain, simple and sufficient. Thanks
The room was filthy the sheets were clean but the blanket certainly weren’t some had burns stains from obviously cigarettes or something like that on them and in high state like I’m staying with dirt they were discussing their showers there was no it was either extremely hot or extremely cold he couldn’t adjust adjust them it was a glass table in there that had no rubber safety stoppers underneath it my daughter put a drink bottle on it and then the glass fell down and landed on the foot the list goes on it’s probably one of the worst rooms I’ve ever had and it nearly $300 a night it’s a joke
It is old and unattended hotel, location is good, close to Darling Harbor, Fish Market, eatery mall. Aquatic museum. But the bath room sharing is awful. no air condition, noisy at night, cleanliness is very poor, room are small no closet nor table, had one chair only, not for the price we paid. They will closing down by October 2019 for renovation.
.
This was a cheap hotel is a perfect location for a conference I was attending at the ICC. It is close to the main road and can be quite noisy. I had to buy ear plugs after the first night and was able to sleep the following nights!!
It’s super cheap and good price for very very basic accommodation
But cleanliness was awful
Bedding was pretty terrible
Bathrooms and towels were filthy even after getting them changed multiple times
Definitely very average
The location was great for what we needed. However, the overall state of the accommodation was poor. Shower mouldy and grubby. Shower curtain rail & toilet cleaning brush container rusty and grubby. Had to ask for towels, only given a towel each & no bath mat or face washers. Toilet not flushing properly. No extra toilet paper, except for the 1 roll supplied. When we turned down the bed covers, it was obvious the sheets had not been changed from the previous guests-wrinkled and not clean. Nowhere to hang clothing. Power points in bathroom not working.
