Convenient Location

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Convenience
I was attending a conference being held in Pitt St. It was only a short 10min walk from the hotel. The conference finished late into the evening so it was nice to have a kitchenette to heat food up, make a coffee etc. Also I believe the whole floor had been recently renovated so everything looked nice and new.

Budget hotel best suited for tour groups

Posted Aug 22, 2014
We chose this hotel because of its location and price. It is an easy walk to sites like the Hyde Park Barracks and the Australian Museum and you can catch the free bus to circular quay quite easily. It is, however, used primarily by people on package tours, i.e., lots of noisy Chinese tourists who seem to like to leave their hotel doors open while they chat loudly in the hallways. One staff person was quite nice and offered advice about a very nice coffee shop, etc. but she was the only pleasant staff person I encountered during our 4 day stay. On our last day, we moved to a place called the Leisure Inn because it was closer to the rail station and we were leaving early. It was significantly cheaper and very quiet. I preferred it!

Nice hotel fr the price

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Cons: Sound closures on doors so they don't slam. Thicker doors so you can't hear everyone in the corridor
Location: Great location easy walking distance to the main attractions
A good standard hotel with friendly staff. The room was of a good standard but was woken every night by people coming in late and then building works behind the hotel that started at 7.30am.

Its OK

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Service, friendliness of front desk staff.
Average experience. Nothing much to highlight. Arrived early on overnight flight and had to wait for a long time. Ok for the budget. Could not extend additional days at the same room rate and had to find another hotel.

A good hotel near the city center

Posted Aug 9, 2014
The hotel is quite near the city center, only two stops away from the circular quay. We can also purchase the airport bus ticket at the reception.

Convenient city hotel

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: There was no food service - I arrived late and would have liked something to eat. I
Travel Lodge - near central station is convenient to all transport and offers a comfortable, quiet stay. The staff are very helpful and the room was clean and well equipped.
