Nice hotel near our embassyPosted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: I found a great book - The Bible.
Cons: Improve what was stated above in the experience.
Comfortability is ok due to aircon is not fast cooling (good thing it is still winter-spring season) and the smell of paint is in the air (other rooms are in state of renovation I reckon).

Close to domain and galleriesPosted Sep 8, 2014
Cons: Get a plumber and TV technician
Location: Close to museum station yet forget it if your traveling from the airport with more than hand luggage, no lifts and one broken escalator that only went
Broken TV was promptly replaced by swapping it with another rooms' TV. I can live without the TV, it was the lack of hot water in the morning for a shower that was very disappointing

Convenient LocationPosted Aug 25, 2014
I was attending a conference being held in Pitt St. It was only a short 10min walk from the hotel. The conference finished late into the evening so it was nice to have a kitchenette to heat food up, make a coffee etc. Also I believe the whole floor had been recently renovated so everything looked nice and new.

Budget hotel best suited for tour groupsPosted Aug 22, 2014
We chose this hotel because of its location and price. It is an easy walk to sites like the Hyde Park Barracks and the Australian Museum and you can catch the free bus to circular quay quite easily. It is, however, used primarily by people on package tours, i.e., lots of noisy Chinese tourists who seem to like to leave their hotel doors open while they chat loudly in the hallways. One staff person was quite nice and offered advice about a very nice coffee shop, etc. but she was the only pleasant staff person I encountered during our 4 day stay. On our last day, we moved to a place called the Leisure Inn because it was closer to the rail station and we were leaving early. It was significantly cheaper and very quiet. I preferred it!

Nice hotel fr the pricePosted Aug 17, 2014
Cons: Sound closures on doors so they don't slam. Thicker doors so you can't hear everyone in the corridor
Location: Great location easy walking distance to the main attractions
A good standard hotel with friendly staff. The room was of a good standard but was woken every night by people coming in late and then building works behind the hotel that started at 7.30am.
