Good value for money

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Very strategically located next to most tourist destinations
Cons: The efficiency of the aircon, more towels, eg. not just bath towels but smaller ones as well.
Location: Near Martin place station, surrounded by plenty of nioce restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and convenient stores, very close to Circular quay.
The hotel is very conveniently and strategically located near Martin Place and only 8 mins stroll to Circular quay. Hotel staff are very helpful and accommodating, from attending to all your room needs, to organising a shuttle for the airport, allowed late check in and keeping your luggage for free. The rooms are very clean and have extra facilities like a microwave, plates, cutlery, glasses. The aircon is not very efficient in humid weather.

Nice hotel in a central location

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Toilet location to door swing.
Location: CBD, close to Darling harbour and the Quay.
Everything was great except for one thing, the toilet is too close to the door, and the door bashes on the person's knees that was using the toilet.

Great CBD location

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Location and value.
Location: Sydney Opera House, of course! Walk to Darling Harbour. Climb the bridge pylon lookout- only $13- incredible view! Take ferry to Taronga zoo.
Great location in central CBD, and 15-20 minute walk down to the harbor- great for active visitors and great value.

Travelodge Philip Street.

Posted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: Good value.
Location: Near the parks and Governors residence
Very well placed in the same street as Sydney Law Courts. We didn't eat breakfast at the Travelodge, preferring local cafes where they had better choices. Well situated for a tourist. The adjoining NSW League Club offers drinks at 10% discount to guests at the Travelodge. These drinks are similarly priced to drinks in the UK, whereas most other places the difference is vast

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Quite street, friend staff, a hidden gem
Cons: pehaps a couple of extra pillows ...........
Location: I had no idea approx location as never stayed in Sydney before, close to shopping, near to Hyde park, & other wouderful buildings.
The rooms we had were very clean, & comfortable, the facilitys were great, room set up was way what we exspected, my parents has a room set up for older persons & just great for them as had bathroom set up just like home, a quite hotel, nil street noise, friendly staff, & the resturant food was great price & good selection, the bar use in evening was also great price & friendly staff...would stay here again if we return to Sydney.

No Air Conditioning- Mildew in Bathroom

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: Entry to the hotel, air conditioning, and a clean bathroom
Location: The hotel is near Hyde Park, the Royal Botanic Gardens, NSW Supreme Court and Circular Quay is fairly close.
Arriving at the hotel on Philip Street, we discovered that we had to carry our luggage up multiple stairs. The room was not cool when we arrived so we turned the thermostat as low as it would go. It never cooled so we spoke to the desk next day. A person checked the unit then offered us a fan. The bathroom shower had mildew around the edge and the metal soap dish was rusted. Further, they do not provide hand towels. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It was very disappointing.

Pros: The location was great. Almost all of Sydney is within walking distance.
Location: Sydney Tower is very close. The Opera House is about a 15 min walk north from the hotel. There is a convenience store next door and it came in handy
As soon as I got off the metro at Martin place, I could see the hotel sign. Check-in was very easy, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. There are shopping centers within a couple blocks around, and right next door there is a convenience store. The only bad thing I would have to say is that there was no wifi available. But, on George Street there is a McDonald's that has free wifi. I used this every morning while getting my coffee.

Comfortable accomodation

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: The location was suitable to my needs
Cons: quite acceptable as is
Location: Location is good, close to most amenities, shops and Quay
I thought the accomodation at Travelodge Phillip St was quite good. The staff were good and the room clean and quiet.
