Better than I thought

Posted Jul 22, 2014
The fare was very reasonable, so I didn't expect much. However, my single room looked new and clean. More than five sticks of coffee and tea were available (Of course, they were free to drink. ) It seemed that the wall was thin, so I heard speaking voice very clearly from next rooms. I slept with earplugs. This is the only bad thing for me to stay here.

Good value for the money. Staff was very helpful.

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Good price and clean, fairly close to airport.
Cons: Kettle did not work
Location: Don't know.
I arrived late, was tired. A staff member took one of my suitcases up to my door. I saw a nice breakfast laid out the next morning but had to catch an early shuttle to the airport so did not try it.

Inner city hotel - budget but high quality

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was included
Cons: A number of things. Checkout time was advertised as 11am but was actually 10am. Breakfast finish time was meant to be 10.30, and it closed at 9.30am
Location: Not a lot of things nearby
I enjoyed staying at the hotel. It was close to Central and was very affordable.

Close to lots of fantastic, cheap restaurants.

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Nice and close to restaurants, walking distance to the harbour and all the sights of /sydney.
Cons: Bathroom area could have been cleaner.
Great visit to Sydney, fantastic time experiencing all the sights and sounds of Sydney.

value for money

Location: nothing near by
Hotel OK, solid beds but separate, noisy.... staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are quite small but have everything you need, big minus it is still a long walk to the city, not as close as described

compact accomodation just outside CBD

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: At least half the cost of staying in the CBD proper without being too far away from it. Cosy: not totally comfortable but cosy. Free breakfast!
Cons: Offer earplugs for visitors more reliable wifi
Location: Just past Prince Alfred Park in Redfern. 10 min from Central Station, CBD; 15 minutes from Newtown and Surry Hills.
Conveniently located just out of the CBD (10 minute walk from Central Station) & close to Newtown, but located a bit of a dodgy area and right next to the train tracks. Breakfast included, nice staff, but the room was tiny (the double room barely held me and my suitcase - can't imagine trying to fit a couple in there), wifi was unreliable, & you will definitely want to bring earplugs, as others have said. Great as a crash space for running around Syndey as a first-time tourist or visiting for business (so anyone who is out of the hotel for most, if not all, of the day) but not ideal for anyone trying to take a relaxing weekend in the city.

Close to Chinatown, comfortable and cheap

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: cheap and good quality
Cons: check drawers as well when cleaning, this time just a empty pills container in the drawer but could be worse
Location: walk 10-15minutes to Central station next to Chinatown, from Central there is a walkway to darling harbour which has many good restaurants
Though it was right next to a busy road, it was quiet and peaceful during the evening so you can have a good night sleep. it is within walking distance to both chinatown and the train station which is very convenient for traveling and getting meals. Though my hotel pass said 50 dollars for early check in and check in time was 2pm, due to early flight, we were allowed in at 8:30am without extra cost because room was ready.

very average

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: the price
Location: If you don't mind the walk you can get to most things in the city in 20 - 30 minutes. Not many restaurants nearby.
If you were looking for a comfortable stay, I would not recommend staying here. It is good for a cheap place to stay, but our window was right next to a train line and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Affordable hotel close to city center

Posted Jun 22, 2014
The hotel is clean and close to central station and city center. The personnel have accepted my check-in before 14:00 and they gave me a quiet room. The breakfast is good also.
