Good location, good price

Posted Oct 20, 2014
My mom and I stayed in a traditional twin bed room for one night. Even though it did not have an attached bathroom, we didn't feel as uncomfy as most people would think! I also think the location is really good - very close to the Hyde Park and walkable to the shopping malls and the Sydney Tower. 25 mins bus ride to the Opera house or Darling Harbour.. The tourist spots were great but mostly we really enjoyed the Park :) I would recommend my friends to go, it's great :)

Central position

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Position
Cons: A microwave oven on each floor would be handy and better shower heads.
Location: A pleasant half hour walk to the harbour or take a bus or train. Take advantage of the $2.50 all day transport ticket if you are a senior.
Quite a lot of road noise. Could do with an extra kitchen. However good value for money.

Affordable but Uncomfortable

Posted Oct 17, 2014
I stayed at the Y Hotel for 2 consecutive weeks in 2 different rooms. The hotel is located very conveniently and is extremely affordable for Sydney. However, the beds at the Y hotel are terribly uncomfortable. It felt like i was sleeping on wire and I tried all three single beds in the room I had in the second week. I've stayed at cheaper hostels in Sydney and they could provide me with a more comfortable nights sleep than the Y could.

Good location but tiny and smelly room

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Room space and clean carpets professionally or change them
Location: Lots of bars and supermarkets. 20 minutes walk to circular quay. central station close
I spent 3 nights in this hotel and I am still in shock about the size of the room which basically our double bed was next to the window and surrounded by walls and to reach the far side of the bed I had to jump on the bed as no physically space to walk around the bed. The carpet was old and smelly which is no very pleasant when you open the door and the window cannot be open for security reasons. Nevertheless I had a great time in Sydney and hotel location is no bad for explore the city.

Location: excellent location, right nr Oxford St and its restaurants
very close to everything in the city as it was right near to Museum stn, and you could easily get to Central and the other city circle lines.

If there is a hairdrier provided in the male bathrooms it would be much better.

Very pleasant stay

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Value. Location. Courtyard view. Free breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: So close to Hyde Park. Take advantage of "Free" walking tours that start in Hyde Park.
I was most pleasantly surprised--this hotel is really nice! Very affordable -- but you get really good accommodation. Location is great. Hyde Park is practically across the street. Lots of good, affordable places to eat. The train station is just a short walk away. The room was clean and the bedding was top notch -- cool, clean, fresh linen. Our room overlooked the courtyard -- so nice and relaxing. Free breakfast on top of it all! You can always pay extra $6 to upgrade, but most of the time, we didn't need to. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Sydney!

Central Location

Pros: The location and how clean it was.
Cons: The shower heads on Floor 7 where I was staying were dripping.
Location: Hyde Park, St Mary's Historic Church, Sydney Museum and a cool and very nice Vegetarian Yum Cha Restaurant called Bohdi. Awsome!
I enjoyed my stay from the time I checked in to time I checked out.

Nice hotel at that price level. Near to Museum metro station.
