Overlooked for Talladega races

Been to Talladega races multiple times stayed in Sylacauga B4, 1st time at Holiday Inn. Versus traffic east & west on I 20, it was still less travel time to Holiday Inn. Staff was great. Morning breakfast offered plenty for the hungriest. Rooms were quiet, even with hotel full. Very clean. Plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from...I like Capitan D's ...great pillows!

Best hotel in the area

My wife and I, and other members of my family who now live out of town too, always stay here when we visit. It's a really nice place.

Just Right

It's rare to find a hotel where everything is just right, but everything about this hotel was perfect. It was very clean, comfortable and very well maintained. The indoor pool was very nice, and the service was great. Even the breakfast was better than what most hotels offer for a free breakfast. We were there to visit the caves in nearby Childersberg. It was a quick and easy drive from this hotel. If I ever need to stay in this area again I will choose this hotel.

Bathroom was dirty.

The bath tub had black at the bottom of it when we checked in. They didn't refill any soaps or towels. Bed sheets were rough... Pool was nice and breakfast was wonderful.

Overall good, just one suggestion

Needs curtains that block out light. The ones they have are shear and they don't have a second set that closes & blocks out parking lot lights or daylight if you intend to sleep in.

For being in a small town it was pretty good. Room needed a few things but it was overall clean. Dining area was clean and well kept.
