Hot, small rooms and no wifi in rooms.

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Adequate air-conditioning
Small rooms with barely enough space to move around. POOR air conditioning - we needed a fan to get to sleep. WIFI not available in rooms- had to work in the lobby. Nice staff that did what they could to help. Small European stand-in showers about 2.5 ft x 2.5 ft. Decent breakfast and good location. Fix the air conditioning and you would have an adequate place to stay. Restaurant in hotel served a good dinner.

Tired hotel

Posted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is within walking distance of the amphitheatre and museum and possibly Ortigia but in my opinion it is in need of a refurb. Small room, not fully clean. Building has some water damaged ceilings and unpleasant odours. I would not want to pay more than £60. I would not stay here again.

Adequate 3 star near archaeological sites

Posted Aug 19, 2012
Pros: Location next to archaeological sites.
Cons: Distance from downtown.
A bit nervous after some of the comments but hotel was perfectly adequate. Very close to archaeological sites - 5 to 10 mins walk which was perfectly OK for fifty somethings even in August - further away from downtown - 25 mins ish. Had room on second floor - perfectly OK for rate. Breakfast, parking and free wi-fi included but had to argue for latter as told it was extra when it was included in rate. Was accepted when showed them booking info. Breakfast OK.

In the middle of everything

Great breakfast. Free Parking a real bonus. Half way between the old part of Siracusa which is a must see and the ancient ruins of the Greek settlers & the archaeology museum. Walking distance to all 2 - 2.5 kms max. Restaurant looked good though didn't try it. Breakfast was excellent so if anything to go by then meals would have been prepared well. Small room but then that is standard. Very clean & well appointed.
