In the heart of the old town - some noisePosted Nov 8, 2013
No view but large rooms and a great roof terrace. Couldn't be closer to the sights and sounds of the old baroque town of Ortygia. Some noise from the restaurant below but it does stop at a reasonable time. Fantastic breakfast and friendly helpful owners.

Fantastic ServicePosted Aug 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good location for visiting surrounding Ragusa and Modica. Best and widest selection at breakfast that we've experienced in Italy. Very friendly and helpful staff that gave us great recommendations. One evening we returned at 11pm and they were happy to setup a table so we could enjoy a late meal on the patio.

delicious breakfasts and friendly staffPosted Jul 17, 2013
Pros: location, staff, breakfast, size of room
Cons: A bus from the station to the area around this hotel would be greatly appreciated as it is a significant walk from the train station and bus terminal.
Location: Close to restaurants and Ortigia's historic sites.
The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful with recommendations and bookings. They also had a lovely way with children. The location in the historic centre of Ortigia was excellent. The breakfasts were superlative. Cereals, cornetti, home made cake, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, eggs, ham, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit juices, bread, jam, toast and the almond granita each day made an abundant and varied breakfast. We loved it. It was also wonderful to have breakfast on the terrace with a view to the sea. The room also contained a kitchenette with enough utensils to make a basic meal. Nice family run place in a good locationPosted Jun 27, 2013
Pros: Breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cons: Lack of natural light in the bedroom
Location: Good position in centre of Ortigia
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast on the roof terrace was perfect. The only downside was that our room was at street level and the only window backed on to a very narrow alley-way so we had either no privacy or no natural light. To end on a positive note - there was a laptop provided in the bedroom with free internet access.

Hotel with a personal touchPosted Nov 1, 2012
Pros: Location, price, helping us with any concerns we had.
Location: Right in Ortigia on a quiet street, close to everything we wanted to visit.
Antonio and the rest of the front desk staff were very helpful with answering questions. It was well located in Ortigia, on a quiet street but very close to all the sites we wanted to see. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the rooftop each morning. After we checked out, my husband realized he left his hat in the room. We e-mailed Antonio, who was kind enough to mail the hat to our final destination in Sicily.

Pros: Good location, good hosts, almost like home
Cons: Elevator not working at night
Location: Really close to Piazza del Duomo and main streets
We were met at the Fountain and walked to Aretusa Vacanze. Check in was quick. The elevator was tiny - just big enough for 2 people and 2 suitcases. The room was really like a studio appartment: kitchenette, dishes, glasses, silverware, table and chairs, comfortable bed, good lighting, TV, and a lap-top computer in every room! The staff went out of their way to recommend places to eat and things to do. Breakfast was served on the roof top terrace. Meat, cheese, pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt, granita, all self-serve with coffee/tea, OJ. We had a very early check out and they called a taxi for us and had a take-out breakfast prepared the night before. Excellent all around. High recommendations for anyone visiting Ortigia.

Nice roof terracePosted Apr 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
Location was just up the road from the fountain, down a small side street. Hotel was quirky with a nice roof terrace where you could read and enjoy the views. Breakfast was also on the terrace where they had a good selection of pastries and nice juice. Laptop in the room with free internet access was very handy. The hotel recommended the restaurant down the street Mariana’s, but would probably give this a miss as they just pull figures out the air for your bill, and tried to overcharge us by 15 euros!
