“Comfortable. Friendly staff. Convenient. Good value.”

We were very pleased with out stay. The laundry was complementary and very convenient. We will definitely stay here again.

“Gets the job done, but nothing else.”

It gets the job done, but nothing great. I'm an athlete so we like the suites so we can cook our own food and have a large enough refrigerator for our baby's bottles. This met all those needs but nothing more. Bring your own pillows because theirs are horrible. Other than that I really have no complaints.

“Recommended if OK without lots of amenites”

Nice newer hotel, well run, clean. It's an extended stay hotel, so only weekly maid service. Rooms are small but servicable and comfortable. Each has a small kitchen with micro, small stove top, fridge and basic utensils, so works well for several day visit. our room was a studio suite, which basically means small one queen bed. It's over near the airport, so kind of far from the university, but only 10 mins and much quieter, cleaner, and newer than comparable hotels in town. Overall a nice place to stay if you don't need big and fancier.

“Expected more”

Compared with other hotels we've stayed in this one was OK but nothing exceptional. The free wifi was a feature that attracted us, but we kept getting bumped off after about 30-60 seconds. (very frustrating - finally gave up). Carpet was stained. Room was smoke free but corridor was very smokey. It was not a bad hotel, but for what we paid, we expected a little more

“Don't pay to park at the Syracuse Airport!”

I had an early morning flight that required an overnight stay, so I chose the Candlewood Suites because they had a "park and fly" program. I left my car there for the week, and was picked up at the airport promptly upon my return. It's not the closest hotel to the airport (the Best Western is practically on the runway), but you don't hear any air traffic and there are chain restaurants nearby (Dunkin Donuts, Denny's etc.). The rooms were satisfactory for the price, and there was a small exercise area. Don't plan on having a free continental breakfast though - there is none!

“very nice hotel...convenient”

I would definately stay at this hotel again. Very convenient when using the airport. The hotel has a shuttle which takes you back and forth to the airport and all of the people are very friendly

“Would go back again”

To get there..it is easy to miss. the entrance is not easy to get into...you might miss it the first time..it looked like a dirt road when it was actually the entrance...i had to go into the airport and turn around..they could do a better job with that..otherwise everything else was good

“A good place near the airport.”

The hotel was located close to the airport, although finding the entrance was a bit tricky. The staff were friendly overall, but the hotel has a bit of a tired feel to it. A definite plus was the kitchenette and full range of pots, pans, and cooking utensils.

“Disappointing stay”

I stay in Syracuse a couple of times a year to go shopping and this was definitely the worst hotel I have stayed in so far. Booked what was supposed to be a room with two doubles but got a Queen and a sofa bed. Front desk did not care this was not what was booked. Were given a handicapped accessible room so there were no counters to put anything on in the bathroom. Though the room reservation was for 3 adults there were only two towels and no sheets for the sofa bed in the room.

“Not so "suite"”

I was expecting a comfortable experience - but I received more aggravation than respect. As I arrived in my room, which wasn't bad - except that the heat was on 76 and the fan was running full speed. I tried to lower the heat but couldn't, so I turned off the fan. The room never achieved a comfortable temperature. In the middle of the night the toilet stopped flushing. If I tried to flush the bowl would fill with water to the top. I was afraid of having it overflow, so I waited till the next morning to use a public restroom. That wasn't comfortable either. I don't recommend this hotel, unless you have HVAC and Plumbing experience.
