Nice budge hotel
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: breakfast and 24 hours supply of juice, fruit and coffee
Cons: no security control on side doors
I booked two rooms using Expedia's "unnamed hotel" service and locked a very good price (30%-40% off). When I called the hotel to confirm and found out they reserved 2 SMOKING room for me. Be careful if you use "unnamed hotel" service since there is no “non-smoking” room option. I was travelling with my two kids so I asked if they can change to “non-smoking” rooms. The hotel was very nice and did it. The location of the hotel is good, not far away from Destiny USA, Waterloo outlet and the Finger lakes. Rooms are a bit old. AC is a bit noisy. But the beds are comfortable, and I like the flatscreen. The breakfast is wonderful among the similar hotels. The part I like the most is their 24 hours supply of juice, fruit, tea, coffee, etc. I feel back home on the first day when having apple juice in the lobby sofa after 6 hour drive + 6 hour shopping trip. The staffs are nice, friendly and informative. They are always willing to help. On the last day before heading back to Canada, I asked the front desk what we can do for the morning. The lady gave me lots of information and recommended several nice spots. We finally had an extremely good time at the zoo. (I have to say, $8 for adults, $4 for kids, we need to paid triple to visit a zoo in Canada with the same level of quality. Sigh…..) One problem with this hotel, there is no lock or card swipe system on the side doors. Basically anyone can come in the building from the side doors. I really wish they can do something on this.

the good and the bad
Posted Jan 7, 2013
The staff were very helpfull and courteous and were able to rectify 2 problems in 1 of my 2 rooms within 30 minutes . They guided us to some restaurants and shopping in the area . The only bad experience was that the gps drove us right by the hotel (which we could see) and sent us on a return route . The location was too congested to give totally accurate directions . Signs guiding us to the hotel would greatly help solve this problem for this hotel.

booked a smoking room...no ashtray in room, front desk gave me a fruit dish. Handles missing from dresser drawers, wall paper in shower area hanging off wall, renovations of lobby serving area and breakfast served in hallway at front desk......no consideration of guests should have been informed and/or offered an additional discount.

Pleasant stay for shopping trip
Posted Jan 5, 2012
This is a great place to stay near between Syracuse and the Waterloo Premium Outlet Mall. Located in a quiet neighborhood but near the highway, we were on the ground floor and were not bothered by the highway noise. The room we stayed in was recently renovated. The room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast had lots of variety and protein. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Would recommend for a night

Undergoing renovations but the room was fairly nice. Main area of the room was finished and the bathroom was a bit dated, but did the trick. Great for a one night stay along your travels. I'd come back again.

For the price range, rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was a bit better than expected. Entrance was being renovated by not a unconvenience. Recommend stay.

Clean spacious room, bathroom could use reno
Posted Jan 26, 2012
Pros: Choice between the spacious room and the showerhead.
Cons: Not much room in the bathroom and rust in the bathroom sink not pretty to see.
Location: Location is great, close to highway that leads to the Waterloo Premium Outlets and also downtown Syracuse.
We got a 2 double beds in the room. Room has plenty of floor space. Room is very clean. The bathroom is also clean, but could definitely use a renovation. I loved the shower head and the pressure... they had an aftermarket showerhead in our room, loved it. Breakfast in morning was decent; microwaved bacon, microwaved egg, orange and apple juice, yogurt, muffin and sliced bread, coffee, waffle maker with choice of blueberry or regular batter. There is a restaurant just beside it if the free breakfast is not to your taste. We went there for the shopping with our 5-year old son and we would return.
