“Hidden problems”
My wife and I recently booked a stay through one of the blind-bid hotel offers. The rate we were charged was below the Crowne Plaza's advertised rates but the accommodations were second rate as well. We were assigned a handicap accessible room which allowed for a single double bed and only one chair. The TV was unable to broadcast NBC or either of the two HBO channels the hotel offered. When I asked the front desk, I was told that the problem was with the provider and would be corrected the next day. I later learned from hotel staff that the problem had been on-going for over two months in more than 25 rooms. Despite many vacancies the night of our stay, we were not offered an upgrade. I believe this was due to the discounted rate.
“Good Value for the money”
The room was great and the price right.....if I could offer one suggestion it would be for the airport shuttle to run earlier ( started at 7 am, had a 6am fligh
“Easy,convenient ,clean”
Newly remodeled, free parking, modern rooms, ask for room facing away from highway
“Hotel Crowne Plaza Syracuse”
Better value in area particularly at EVENT weekends.
“Good alternative in Syracuse, convenient to I-81.”
Rooms are a little on the small side, but well designed with everything you need, and seem to have been updated recently. Parking and Wi-fi are free, so there were no add-ons that can run your bill up substantially. Hotel is right by I-81, and just a few minutes from the University. Overall, a good, clean option.
“Very nice hotel”
The furnishings are all relatively new and attractive. Very cool walk-in, overhead shower. Incredibly comfortable bed and pillows. My only complaint is the doors seemed a little thin in terms of blocking out sound from the hallway.
“comfortable, nice hotel”
enjoyed my stay
“Impressed”
Comfortable beds, great view, spacious rooms.
“Got a king instead of two doubles”
I purchased a room with two double beds on Expedia. When I arrived at the hotel the desk clerk happily told me that my room with the king bed was all ready. I explained that I was with my son and absolutely needed two doubles. I was told there was nothing they could do for me. I asked if there were any nearby hotels that might have what I needed and was told that there might be but I would not be getting my money refunded. The desk clerk went on to say that this is what happens when you use a discount service to book a room.
“Disgusted from Seattle”
what a terrible place. hotel room was shabby, $33 cab ride away from Airport and indifferent service from
