Just about what you'd expect from a 2 star motel.Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Syracuse University and lots of eating options.
Cons: This is 2014. You can't tell me that something couldn't have been done to provide my extra room to someone else who needed it.
Location: Syracuse University! Also, plenty of eating options. Finger lakes aren't far. Motel is about 60 seconds from I-90.
No surprises here. Very basic Day Inn. Looks and feels old. Some updates to the rooms, but the bathrooms weren't very clean, but we couldn't tell if it was due to age or dirt. Worst thing was that this motel was booked on Expedia - we booked 3 rooms and only needed 2 by the time we got there. Coincidentally, the motel was booked and while I was checking in, a guy asked about rooms and was turned away. I told the check-in person that I could provide one of my rooms and she said that she couldn't do that since I booked on Expedia. What? So, basically, this guy and his family were turned away and an empty room that I paid for was sitting next to me.

Hotel is in bad condition.Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: New towels that were big and soft, the bed was comfortable and Denny's was next door.
Cons: The hotel needs a lot of work done to it and needs competent employees.
Location: Carrier circle outside the door. Close to the Fair and Zoo that we went to see.
Check in was okay. As we were checking out, the Manager entered our room with the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. We were loading our luggage in the car and came back up to the room, the Manager and the Head of House Cleaning were in the room. We had to take our keys back to the desk every day as they wouldn't work in the door. We had to go and ask for toilette paper on one occasion. An auction sign was placed on the property on Friday, not good representation for Wyndam Resorts. Manager was repirmanding an employee in front of patrons, employees were in the elevator talking about other employees in front of patrons. Overall experience was not good. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It wad comfy and amazingPosted Aug 25, 2014
My experience was great . The location of the hotel was perfect ! I was close to the carousel mall and close to the fair as well . My hotel was also easy to find and get to coming off the highway . I didn't really understand why the was 0.20 toll coming from the mall to the hotel when there wasn't one leaving the hotel going yo the mall .. But i recommend this hotel to EVERYONE and i will definitely book here again !!

Time For a Full RenovationPosted Aug 25, 2014
Cons: Bulldoze it and rebuild. It was the grossest place I have ever stayed in..
Location: Nothing- Carrier Circle is just pitiful- it's a terrible location.
Don't let the decent lobby fool you- this place is ready for a down-to-the-studs renovation. Disgustingly stained carpets, peeling wall paper, rusty metal doors and trim pieces, dirty bathtub await you. This was a last minute reservation for one night. I was told by the gentleman on duty, who I assume was some sort of manager, that I got a really good rate. That rate split into 4 nights would have been more like it although I wouldn't have spent $25 a night on the place. It was dirty and run down enough to make a person's skin crawl. We left first thing the next morning (there were no other rooms available- college move in weekend I guess) and didn't bother with the complimentary breakfast. I would not have eaten food in this place. The odd part is they took a copy of my credit card and license and then told me they would shred it on check out. When we did check out I told the morning clerk I wanted my copies back. She was very confused because I had made my reservations through Expedia. She said there was no reason to take the copies. I have contacted Days Inn corporate offices about this and they said I should be hearing from the property manager. In the meantime I'm watching all of my transactions on that card. It was sketchy at best. Days Inn should be ashamed of having a property this disgusting.
