Where should I start?Posted Mar 23, 2015
our reservation was for 4 people. Only 3 towels and wash clothes. Our bed was so un level we had to sleep upside down on our 3 flat pillows. I could hardly walk when I got up. Not that I slept a wink. We ordered room service, 2 burgers and fries a beef brisket dinner and ahi tuna. The brisket from Arbys was better than that and the tuna must have been frozen. 103.00 dinner not worth 50.00. The room was very outdated and small for 3 adults and 1 child. I think my favorite part was the long black hair in my coffee cup. Considering my party of 4 are all Blondes. Never again will I visit this hotel. Worst 272.00 I have ever spent.

Great hotel to stay at when going to Syracuse gamePosted Feb 16, 2015
Stayed at Doubletree this weekend when attending Syaracuse game. Not too far from the Carrier dome. Staff very friendly. Room very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Ended up in the dining room after the game and it was packed with people coming in after the game. The staff were working 110% to serve this overwhelming crowd and they did so without being frazzled or upset. There was a long wait, but the food was really good. I would recommend staying here again.

Slightly dated but clean. Good pillows but the mattress was softer and had the "people divots". Time for new ones I think. Overall a good stay. I prefer a free bfast which was not available but for last minute not bad.

Weekend shopping tripPosted Nov 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
My girlfriend and I sTaye in syracuse overnight and enjoyed Double tree. We were surprised to receive the warm chocolate chip cookie at checkin. Also the bar inside the hotel was nice to finish off the evening. There was a after wedding party which we joined and have a great time. The hotEl was clean and the staff were friendly. Also the hotEl was modern and up to date. No brown and yellow hallways. Nice visit!

Syracuse University Family WeekendPosted Nov 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
First impression was disappointing because of the unkept landscaping and garbage in the parking lot. We noticed the hotels in the surrounding area had full parking lots, but the Double Tree's lot was practically empty. Upon check-in, i was handed cookies by Sharon, who sternly let me know they contained nuts, in case i needed to know. We were given room 256. We found the room prepared and clean, but noticed a loud noise, that sounded like a ventilation fan or compressor, coming from below us and the toilet ran all night. We could not get the temperature in the room to go lower than 75 degrees, yet the temperature outside was 37 degrees. The heat was shut competely off and the A/C did not work.We tried to sleep with the window open, but that did not help. At around 10:15 AAM, we were trying to get ready for our day, and housekeeping started pounding at the door, even though check out time was at noon. At check out, i was asked how my stay was, i explained that we did not sleep due to the noise and extreme heat, and Sharon apologized and said she would have engineering look at it. My wife and i spent Sunday, exhausted and cranky, when we should have been enjoying this precious, short time with our son. At almost $300 a night, in a vacant hotel, why did they put me in that room? Was it punishment for booking through Hotels.com?
