We had a lovely stay at the property - the staff were super friendly and extremely helpful! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and the hotel really went out of their way to ensure our stay felt special! It was a great base to explore Noto, Modica and Ragusa. The only downside is you need a car as there’s nothing within walking distance of the hotel.

Great hotel, clean and very friendly staff. Internet was patchy and didn’t work in certain areas. To use the spa, there was an extra charge, so I think that should be disclaimed somewhere. Breakfast could have more fruits and fresh juices. Staff was incredibly friendly and lovely, pool area also could have stayed open until a bit later, specially during the warm summer nights.

We stayed at the Caiammari boutique hotel for 5 nights and had the most wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful; stunning well-kept gardens, nicely decorated rooms and fab facilities (especially the pools!). The service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and very attentive. The food was superb. We had lovely salads for lunch by the pool and breakfast was delicious! A nice selection at the buffet and the option to order cooked eggs from the kitchen. The setting at breakfast overlooking the gardens was tranquil. We enjoyed a daily visit from the family dog, Ron. He was very sweet and well behaved (I.e. if you don't like dogs he will not bother you at all). The location was great with easy access to various beaches. The closest was Arenella which was lovely, nice sand and crystal clear water. We hired a car and drove to Fontane Bianche another day. The sand was whiter and again, crystal clear water. Some seaweed in places and was a windy day, but overall a lovely beach. We ate lunch at Sayanora which was fab! Great food, reasonably priced and friendly staff. We also drove to Ortigia one evening and to Noto another evening. Overall the location of the hotel was perfect (best to hire a car). I'd love to return to Syracuse and when I do I will definitely stay at the Caiammari again.

A beautiful oasis
There's only one was to describe this hotel - Oasis! It's an absolutely gorgeous and peaceful hotel in the middle of rural Sicily. It's really close to beautiful beaches, natural parks and a 15min drive to beautiful Syracuse. Don't hesitate to book this hotel, you will not regret it!

Good hotel and localation for a tranquil trip
We believed that the hotel was a little closer to Syracuse so a little suprised when it was on the other side of the bay, our fault. Local area was very quiet with few restaurant. Hotel was very good, food excellent, small gym and 25metre pool. Charge for the spa was disappointing, the actual spa was good. Service was excellent with the exception of the charge for wine which we did not have. Cleared up on check out but should not occur. Great coastline which we will explore some other time. Would come back to the same hotel

We were sorry not to have more time here. . It has 2 beautiful pools and the room was large and had a high wooden ceiling which was very attractive. We had a good dinner in the restaurant. I don't know why they picked the location but it's close to Syracuse yet you're in the countryside.

Loved everything about this hotel. Staff couldn’t be more helpful, food and drinks onsite outstanding quality at very reasonable prices and the hotel is in a beautiful garden setting. Travelling with friends, one couple was given an upgrade to a suite - but the basic room was sensational as well. Driving to it was initially a little disconcerting - we weren’t sure it was going to be in a good location - but our concerns evaporated the instant we stopped at the gate. It is a little out of town, but the hotel offers a shuttle service (25 euro) and a taxi ride is 25 euro. Onsite car parking is secure. The pools are beautiful and large. We found it to be a beautiful and relaxing sanctuary at the end of a day wandering around Syracuse. Thanks Georgio for the attentive service!

Arrived very late, but easy check in and help to get to our room with sleeping baby and all our luggage. Breakfast - choice to eat outside or in. Good coffee, varied choice of things to eat. Ate twice in restaurant in evening. Don't expect large portions of food but quality was high. Hotel grounds are very well kept and relaxing to walk in. Two swimming pools were warm and inviting on the hot days (i.e. every day!) and not too busy. Staff generally very friendly and helpful. Got recommendations on places to go, and overall you felt that this was more than just a job and that they cared about your stay and experience at the hotel. Location is isolated from a town or village so own transport is a must. Syracuse is fairly close offering shops, plenty of places to eat and drink, and well as beautiful places to walk and go.

It is a very beautiful and peaceful hotel. The staff was wonderful, the food great, and an amazing pool. I do have 2 complaints though. On the hotels.com site it said it was much closer than it was to Syracusa. It also said free shuttles to the beach and local areas, both untrue. We were really far from everything and had no car since we didn’t know we needed one. I think you should correct that on your site.

Great base for exploring the area. Clean and friendly. Lovely swimming pool area but seems to be a lot of flies from the neighbouring farmland. The sauna and steam room will cost €35 each to use.

This is a hotel with a really chilled feel. The grounds are splendid and the none of the facilities feel tired at all. Absolutely loved the restored scooters in the bar area! Location-wise, it was well placed for us, being between Syracusa and all destinations South of this.

A peaceful haven away from the bustle of Syracuse
The hotel is in a lovely garden with a fabulous pool. Whilst the rooms are basic, they are clean and comfortable. What really makes the stay is the friendly nature and helpfulness of the staff.

A fantastic hotel. We had a fabulous week.
The hotel is set in a peaceful setting with picturesque gardens, fabulous amenities and an excellent restaurant. The pools are well maintained and perfect for relaxing around. All the staff were outstanding. We highly recommend a stay her.

Very comfortable and charming hotel.
My wife and I were given a warm welcome on arrival and escorted to our room. We booked the best suite in the hotel which was very comfortable and roomy, and included a large balcony overlooking the hotel gardens and swimming pool. The Hotel was located on the outskirts of Siracusa and set amidst beautiful well kept grounds. The breakfast was generous and varied. We also enjoyed meals at the hotel including Lunch and Evening meal in the Restaurant. The food was very good and the service always courteous. The hotel pool was welcoming and a good size. It was well kept and the poolside furniture was ideal for lazing by the pool. The hotel owners were welcoming and attentive and went out of their way to ensure that our 6day stay was enjoyable and comfortable. The one downside was the difficulties in maintaining a stable wifi signal and tv reception in our room. On the whole, we were very happy with the choice of hotel and would happily recommend it.

Relaxing retreat
My husband and I had a nice stay at Caiammare. All of the staff was super friendly, the grounds, including the pool, were immaculately maintained. We stayed three nights in late September and it was very quiet for our stay. Often had the pool to ourselves. We ate dinner at the hotel one night and it far exceeded expectations. Delicious food. My only complaints are that our room had an intense, persistent perfume smell I could have done without, and the location is a good 20 minute drive from Ortigia or any other tourist spots. Grateful we had a car. But otherwise a relaxing retreat!

Lovely hotel woth fantastic pool
We had a fantastic stay here. The service was exceptional and the staff were very friendly. The hotel was busy at the weekend with a great atmosphere but very relaxed and peaceful through the week. There are two pools and a jacuzzi and the hotel facilities also include a well equipped gym and sauna and there is a brilliant restaurant which even uses food grown on site. The room was a good size and was kept very clean.

End of season so things closing down. But staff were excellent and made us very welcome keeping pool and bar open...especially Sophia and Mario. One point, you definitely need a car here, but the hotel would make life easier if they provided a courtesy bus to the beach and town centre.

A hotel that looks the part, but beware !
An earlier reviewer said that they didn't understand what this hotel was 'trying to be' .For us, this hotel is typical of a hotel that has the cusp of high European standards, but in reality, is Sicilian. We spent 5 nights at the hotel, in a very comfortable junior suite, but on 4 of the nights, the hotel held events for the local population that infringed on our stay. No mention was made of these events at the time of booking, and if they had been mentioned , we would have stayed elsewhere. Loud music went on until at least midnight on 3 of the 4 nights, and hotel guests and eventees were not kept separate. These events also prevented access to the front of the hotel for dining, as this is where the events were concentrated The hotel is 20 minutes outside of Siracusa, so a car is essential. If you stay at the hotel during the day, be aware that the hotel has a mix of residential and agriculture surrounding it, so noise levels during the day also mean that in our opinion, there is nothing tranquil about the residence, and there is nothing within a reasonable walking distance 4 star is way above this experience. Although the dinner menu was restricted , Breakfast was reasonable. The grounds of the hotel were being attended to, but the closure of the two pools for a full day for cleaning ( rather than night ) was perplexing. Again, no info on this action was conveyed to guests. The hotel offers little info on the surrounding area.

Lovely hotel in good location
This was a relaxing and pleasant stay with everything we needed at hand. The facilities were good and it was great to be able to order drinks all day by the pool and lunch was available if we wanted it. The dinners were excellent and great quality and the chef visited the tables during our stay. Be prepared though for fish being the main ingredient, as normal in Italy. Our room was very nice and pleasantly furnished (although we were a bit bemused at having a disabled bathroom - toilet was VERY high!). Also the room could have benefited from a bit more natural light. The pool area was immaculate with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. As we had a rental car we were able to visit the local beach, which was less than 10 minutes drive away.

Just as good second time around
In May and June the hotel is a haven of peace (apart from the odd dog barking). Staff are very helpful and the pools are perfect for swimming and lazing around. Quality and presentation in the restaurant varies but is made up for by eating outside in the lovely garden (weather permitting). Upgrade to a room in the villa if you can afford it. You do need a car but good local restaurants and beaches are less than 10 minutes away. Siracusa is a short 20 minute drive - its a good base for exploring Southern Sicily. We shall definitely return.

Relaxing getaway
We States in a Deluxe Double and were moved into a junior Suite as previously room had a connecting Door to room with Baby. The Deluxe Double was slightly dark and has no window in The Bathroom. We definetly enjoyed our holiday better due to room move into a light, Airy, Dinnyes room. Staff IS very friendly and attentive , Hotel very clean and cared for and the Pool exceptional. We missed Outdoor breakfast as there is only the Option to eat Inside the Restaurant. General dining is a bit formal. Neighbourhood not Great. Nothing in walking distance and general quite with Many Restaurants Closed down. Dogs in the neighbourhood which do set each Other Off and barking can be heard from Most rooms . Need car.

Great location for exploring the wider area, 15 mins by car from Syracuse. The hotel, swimming pool and gardens are lovely. It was a bit quiet for me at the time we went but staff, service and food were all very good.
