Authentic accommodation in great setting

Posted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: Quiet and authentic and well located for sightseeing and shopping
Cons: Nil
Location: Conveniently situated for sightseeing the immediate coastline and the island interior.
This was a period building with several apartments within it. It was not a hotel and this was a deliberate choice on our part (my wife and I). Our apartment was on the top floor (3 in total) but there was a modern lift if you preferred. The apartment was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for any self catering, although we did tend to eat out for most of our week long stay, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The proprietor, Luca, was excellent in terms of pre-arrival communication with relevant advice. He met us on arrival and reiterated the advice and added more information and provided a useful information pack. Although we didn't need him for anything, he provided no less than 3 contact numbers for him or relevant members of his immediate family in case we had a query or needed something. The location was very good and from outside the building looked like it could have been occupied by local residents.
