Location: Location was not within walking distance to anything in particular resturants, however the city is small and easy to drive to resturants.
The PArk View is a nice boutique Hotel in Syracuse. Clean comfortable rooms.

Cons: improved speed/efficiency of shuttle services (although great that they are free)
Good location for my needs near the Campus and University hospital. Very nicely renovated and updated inside. I used the comfortable lobby sitting area to get some work done. It is away from the front desk enough to have a separate atmosphere. Breakfast was pretty standard. The room was great, shutters instead of curtains was a nice difference. Bathroom normal size; dual shower heads. Overall, more of a classic style. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Little Hotel That Outshines Larger Ones

Pros: Shuttle service and how comfy the beds were. Bathroom looked either recently redone or just very well maintained and super clean (and shiny).
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Wish it was closer to the University, but you can't really complain about having to walk 7 or 8 blocks (unless the weather is very cold).
Really liked the fact they had a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Also the shuttle was available when not going to the airport to shuttle guest around town. Just this one service/convenience saved us roughly $100-125 in cab fares over our 3 day stay, even though it was not available everytime we needed it. Otherwise the savings would have been ~$150.

Hotel was fine. No room service. Small snack area for water, soda and snacks. We were upgraded to a suite and room was nice and very clean.

Not far from campus with off street parking and a great historic feel to it. Staff was great, room was very nice - not the same cookie-cutter room you find with the chains. Big room with a nice layout, comfortbale bed - seems to be recently renovated.

Location: Walking distance to SU campus
We didn't actually stay at the Parkview but at another property, the Genesee Grande, up the street. Same owners. So our rating is for the Grande. When we arrived at Parkview, they didn't have a double queen for two nights so they honored our Expedia booking at the Grande, which was lovely. If you're visiting Syracuse U the Grande is within walking distance and is great. Suggest eating at Phoebe's down the street from Grande and up street from Parkview.

Pros: Lovely breakfast room with good food.
Cons: Tiny bathroom with little counter / shelf space.
Location: Handy for visiting the Destiny, USA mall.
It's definitely an older hotel, but is mostly well kept. The bathroom was tiny with very little space for one's things. Staff were great, and the breakfast was terrific.
