Nice hotel close to everything

Posted Sep 2, 2014
The hotel is located in a very nice area of the Suracuse City, unfortunately the construction around the hotel made our experience a little bit complicate the first time when you must use GPS to find the hotel, other than that the Staff hotel very friendly, room very clean and breakfast not bad'

First Impressions Can Last

Pros: At the current moment the morning breakfast with as much refills on drinks. Also the abundance of cozy pillows in our room.
Cons: The complimentary coffee in our room. It didn't taste so well. Couldn't open a window to get some fresh air at night.
Location: Explored the Destiny shopping mall. A hobby shop "You played the game now read about it". We visited our first Barnes and Noble and liquor warehouse.
The room and the building itself seemed as if we were living in a point of time of pre-computers, which was nice. The asthetics of the carpets, lighting and overall condition of the building was still very pleasant The staff was always helpful, knowledgeable of the surrounding area and curtious to us. The complementary breakfast was simple, delicious and was always looked forward to when the morning began. The drinks for breakfast was a healthy selection of Orange Juice, Milk, water, Cranberry juice, Apple JUice, with the infinite refills. The room was more than satisfactory. The abundance of pillows was quite entertaining, aswell as comfortable. One pillow was the size of me in height (5'5'').

Wonderful until checkout.

Pros: Close proximity to Syracuse University, great staff.
Cons: Only that I got charged by hotel when I had prepaid through Expedia. Then had to spend over an hour on the phone with Expedia customer service.
Great staff! Very friendly and accommodating. The gentleman at the front desk when we arrived was exceptionally helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable, although the bed was a little hard. Complimentary breakfast was very good.

Well located hotel: close to SU, downtown.

Pros: Guest rooms, staff and breakfast, and free shuttle to and from downtown.
Cons: hall ways require some renovations now that the rooms and ground floor common rooms have been done.
Location: Very near Syracuse University, downtown attractions, and a good base for shopping and golfing. Pastabilities Italian restaurant in Armor Square and Al
I have stayed at the Parkview Hotel in Syracuse a number of times over recent years. While it is well located, and its staff pleasant and efficient, until the last few years it had been showing its age: clean, but worn. More recently the guest rooms and public rooms have been renovated and are now very pleasant. The addition of an onsite bar and breakfast room are also welcome. The standard of the included breakfast is very good with hot and fresh ingredients. I will continue to use this hotel for future visits to the area and have recommended it to my friends and family.

Parkview

Pros: The breakfast room was nice and they had a nice variety.
Cons: Insulated the corridor for noise and avoid rooms near the elevator.
Location: Location was approx. 1 km to downtown by car. There is not of things to see or do walking distance.Good place if you are going to Syracuse Stage.
I have stayed at this hotel many times. They have a great shower with great water pressure . Location proximity is close to highway. Lots of road closure due to road repairs in that area so it's a little difficult to manoeuvre . The staff at the front desk was great and accommodating . Our room was noisy as we could hear the late night revellers coming in and also we could hear the elevator working. Our room door did not close properly!

Very central; easy to find and close to amenities

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The customer service, comfort of the room, and the overall ambiance of the hotel.
Location: Centrally located and close to all amenities. Everything - restaurants, shops, etc. - is a close drive away.
We came to Syracuse to do some shopping. The hotel itself and the staff there are so good, we did not want to leave the hotel. Everything about the hotel was fantastic, despite the construction taking place across the street from the front entrance. We will definitely be staying here again!

My wife and myself stayed at the park view hotel in Aug. It's not spectacular but it's 5 min. Away from the destiny usa mall, very clean and the staff was friendly.

Close to major mall.

Decided to stay here for our second night in Syracuse due to not being able to get 2 consecutive nights from another hotel ( last minute trip and no other availability ). Didn't feel safe in parking lot at night behind the hotel. Small bathroom and bed not comfortable. We weren't able to take a shower because it was missing shower curtains !
