“Essentials, but with a smile.”
I stayed in this hotel over the Thanksgiving weekend. I'm not sure they allow smoking in the hotel, but it was noticeable. It was barebones, but competant. The staff was courteous & accomodating. Don't expect thick towels or down comforters. It's sufficient. In a pnich I would stay there again.
“Freindly and clean”
The people were friendly, the room was clean and quiet. It was close to everything we wanted to visit.
“Not bad for the price”
Not bad for the price. Clean room, decent location to the lakes. Breakfast is a sham which is why I gave a lower rating. They had fruitloops at 9 am on weekends.
“Upstate NY Visit”
Motel was very pleasant. great TV line up for the kids (Comedy Central, SyFy and ESPN).
“In a state of decline”
This is the second year that we have stayed at this hotel to attend high school softball championship games in Waterloo. In that year, the condition of the hotel has declined. The free continental breakfast was offered but you had to eat in the lobby. Previously a conference room had been made available for this use. I would rate this hotel as acceptable for the price you pay. One might find paying a little more worth some of the little extras.
“Price through Expedia was great, however we got what we paid for.”
Not satisfied! Requested 3 room together, 2 were, 1 was at other end of motel, had reserved with a few weeks notice, stated all rooms must be non smoking 1 room had ash tray in it, and we had to request towels, only had 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel, no wash cloths, for two people, desk attendant attitude comparable to a sleeping pet.
“Lovely town but bad hotel”
The concierge was less than helpful. We asked for a NON-smoking room but we didn't get it. He didn't even feel about about the mishap. I got a rash as a result. Never again!
“Will NOT go back”
We had a toilet seat that was broken AND dirty! The sink's stopper was unable to move to be used and by the second day was down with being able to be put up even with being pried. A light bulb needed to be replaced and was once we called about it. Also the toilet seat was replaced,BUT we found TWO roaches floating in the toilet at that time! We had to wait to get our request of a first floor room that was necessary because of my husband's limited ability to walk. Breakfast was very basic. It was a shock to us since we experienced a great stay at a Super 8 in North Caroline nex to a huge shopping mall.
“Affordable Finger Lakes Stay”
Our attempts to find nearby loding for the NYS High School state softball championships in Waterloo, NY were becoming frustrating until we found this lodging in nearby Auburn. Having driven through Auburn on seveal occasions, we were surprised to discover this lodign right off the busy main thoroughfare. We were pleasantly surprised to find it to be quite and well kept. It provided the ideal starting point for our day of softball and then a day of touring the Finger Lakes wine country. We will definately keep this place in mind for next years tournament in Waterloo.
“Girls shopping weekend”
We wanted an inexpensive place to stay for the weekend while we shopped at the outlets in Waterloo. This met our needs! Nothing fancy, no frills but cheap and clean. Having a fridge and microwave in the room was great because we could bring snacks from home to enjoy as well.
