Royal Golf Hotel Tabarka

Posted Aug 14, 2010 on Hotels.com
I was disappointed by the room , there was no frigde and the air conditionning was not working properly; There was not much variety in the food and the only fruit available was melon and water melon during all our stay. For a 4 star hotel I would have expected a better quality and a variety of food . The service and the staff were plesant.

Food

Posted Apr 30, 2010 on Hotels.com
Probably because of the period of my stay (April 2010,) there was no choice whataoever for food. Breakfast, lunch, dinner were all "pre-packed" with no choice at all. I once asked for a piece of cheese for breakfast and they had none! Being far away from the city centre, it is difficult to have both lunch and dinner away from the hotel. Still, a good experience.

The hotel is situated in a very beautifull place, with a glof court at 5 minutes walking and the beach at 10 minutes walking. The Tabarka downtown is about 3 Km far from the touristic area. Tabarka city is a beautifull small city having both mountain and beach. Poeple are helpfull. Regarding the hotel itself, the service is correct. the hotel personal are warm and very helpfull. The hotel have 2 bars, one in front of the reception and ont in a big garden into the hotel. The garden and the outdoor pool were under maintenance (maybe because we were there in april) Rooms are large and clean. The room service is coorect but we were surprised that in 3 days they did not renewed the soap and shampoo. We had an great view on the beach. The restaurant offer a good variety of food in a buffet, the restaurant was clean but one morning we had a cat into the restaurant which was not much appreciated. The hotel offer some external activities : Quad runner, motocycle, diving from 30 Euros. Globally the hotel is good. It was quite empty but what we have understood is that the good season to go to Tabarka is in the summer (for swimming/diving and the Tabarka Jazz festival)

first impressions very good but on day two 75 schoolchildren arrived aged 12 to 14 no control by the hotel or teachers they ran wild and made so much noise had to retire early not what you expect in 4star hotel.
