Aged hotel.

Posted Dec 19, 2014
The hotel is old and in need of upgrade. Fuzzy tv, no Internet and dirty hallway carpets are the start. The first room I was in did not have a working tv. When I went to call the front desk, the telephone cable popped out of the phone. In my second room, the linoleum in the bathroom was torn and there was holes around the toilet water pipes and in the bedroom ceiling. Hot water was sketchy. You had to let it run for a while to ensure hot water. The breakfast had no meats. I could not eat anything because I am pre-diabetic. However, if you are looking for a roof over your head, this is an ok place to stay. It was the cheapest and came with a frig and microwave. Linen was clean.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your willingness to share your experience of the Auburn Travelodge. I apologize that you found your stay at our hotel inadequate to your standards. We are an older property and are currently in the process of ensuring our property looks its best. To your mention of “Dirty Hallway carpets” – we ensure that our hallways and carpets and vacuumed each and every day. Our complimentary breakfast is one of the big hits at our hotel that our guest’s enjoy and I apologize that we do not serve meats. Our housekeepers are definitely working hard to make sure rooms are always on the highest standards so I will make sure to pass on the message to them. We hope you will be giving us another chance to serve your future lodging needs, as we would like the opportunity to provide you the level of service you expect from us. Thank you.

Absolutely terrible

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: nothing
I needed a last minute hotel after some unexpected events. Everything was really expensive; this hotel was the most affordable one that seemed "decent" and was still a good amount of money! The description said the room would have wifi, microwave and fridge and it did not have any of those. I was told they could move me into a room that had a fridge but still did not have the other feature. It smelled awful like cat pee. I took care of my business and tried to get some rest once I returned but was not able to. The mattress was uncomfortable and you could hear everything in the hall way. I woke up ready to have my continental breakfast and be on my way but it was just an infuriating experience to say the least. I go to the make your own waffle machine and there was not enough. I kindly asked the gentleman if I could please have some more mix. He said yes, he came back with a cup of water, added it to the mix while coughing in it and poured it in the griddle! The mix was so watery it started squirting everywhere. I was so shocked I was speechless. I walked to the front desk and complained to the manager. She was very nice and tried to help me, the man got so upset and started yelling at me and tried to serve me the watery waffle on a plate. She had him make some more but I did not eat it because who knows what he did to it. I know you pay for what you get and I did not expect a 5 start hotel but I did pay around $80 so I would expect decent service and to not be yelled at.

Dear Olivia, I am so sorry to hear that your recent stay at our hotel was so disappointing. The experiences you described are not characteristic of the level of service we strive to provide and we apologize that your stay was unsatisfactory. I would like to address some of your concerns below: As mentioned to your our wifi - it is more centrally located to the lobby. We are currently working to find a service provider to help us with this matter. I do feel confident however, that our team did share this information with you. I apologize if that was not the message you feel you received from our team. We keep our housekeeping to the highest standards so I'm not sure where you encountered dirt in your room as we ensure rooms are pristine and do daily inspections to ensure this standard is maintained. In regards to your experience with our breakfast attendant, let me assure you that this is not how we like to take care of things here at the Auburn Travelodge. I have spoken to him and we have dealt with this issue so as to ensure it does not happen again. We are committed to providing our guests with the highest quality services and facilities. I sincerely regret we fell short of our goal in this instance. Your comments above are important to the success of our organization, as we rely on you, our guest, to tell us how we are doing and how we can better meet your needs. Thank you.

Good services

Breakfast provided was good. Close to the Green River Community College which is quite good enough for me. All other ideas, I'd have not much comments.

Terrible Location and Condition

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: The front desk staff was friendly. It was also close to the Tough Mudder event we were attending.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Tough Mudder in September and Seattle if you want to drive a bit.
This hotel is located across the street from a major railway. The trains go by at all hours of the day and night. It is so close to the tracks that bed actually shakes when they go by. The walls of the hotel are so thin that you can actually listen to the conversations of the people in the room on either side of you. I mean you can hear every work. The room was very aged with stains on the carpet and the beds are pretty broken down and sway in the middle. We would have moved hotels if there were any rooms available close by, which there were not. So after two nights we were totally exhausted due to a lack of sleep.

Thank you for your review of the Auburn Travelodge. We are an older property and are working on making the necessary modifications with our guests’ best interests in mind. To your mention about the trains - these are government run engines. Therefore we have no access to when they run and would not be able to dictate their schedule; regrettably this situation is out of our control.
