A difficult choicePosted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: The staff was pleasant and professional
Cons: the bed
The overall experience was as expected. I did enjoy the breakfast, more than just a roll and coffee, a very good selection of good food. The only thing I had trouble with...it would be a difficult choice to decide which was more comfortable - the floor or the bed. That was one of the hardest beds I have slept on since I was aboard an aircraft carrier.

Fantastic Place to Stay! I will return!Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Has a parking garage below the hotel which is very convenient. The breakfast was buffet style everyday also convenient. Lots of TV channels to watch.
Location: Located next to the Tacoma Dome, on a bus line very close to downtown Tacoma and next to the Freight house with lots to do!
Will definitely stay here again, from check in to check out was so wonderful. Staff members were courtesy and informative. Unfortunately I had to move because of separate reservations (I made), but was allowed to stay in the room until the next one was ready. The supervisor brought the new keys right up to the room for us. Everyone always had a smile on and at no time I felt un-welcomed. When we arrived, there were 2 small items in the trash bin and they offered 10% off, which I was not looking for. The room was clean thoroughly everyday. The view in both rooms were spectacular, even though we didn't spend much time in the room itself I wish I could of. Just be aware if you are looking for the sofa bed it's a twin (which worked perfect for our 2 year old).

After a long day of travel, it was nice to be back at the Best Western. The staff is great, breakfasts are good, views are wonderful, and there's a fantastic microbrewery three blocks away (the bar in the lobby is good too!). You can tell that marijuana is legal--stepped out of the elevator on my floor, and the hallway smelled like a skunk. No smoking doesn't just cover tobacco!

Clean hotel close to Art Museum/ChihulyPosted Apr 9, 2015
It was perfect for our needs! the FREE tram was a block away and took us directly to the Tacoma Art Museum and Chihuly. Harmon's was a great place to eat and fun little shops in the Union Station area. We didn't move our car until it was time to leave. The only negative is the photo of the hotel makes it look new, shiny and bright...it is not. But very clean, breakfast was good and staff was excellent! I would definitely stay again.

OK hotel, bad NeighborhoodPosted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast selection was ample and good
Cons: I'd add security at the front door, and security cameras in the parking lot so guests can feel safer & encourage staff to be more welcoming & friendly
Location: If you are attending a show at the Dome, this is the hotel to be at.
My 15 year old son son and I spent one night at this hotel. The hotel itself was well maintained, it was clean, and the breakfast selection was great. However, when we called room service to order food at 8:30 pm, nobody ever answer the phone to take our order, so we had to get dressed again since we had put pjs on, and go out to dinner. We felt pretty unsafe when we got outside to get our car at the parking garage next to hotel; it was not well lit , and even though it said that there were security cameras, there was no camera on sight, no security, nothing, and so we assumed that was just to scare away some of the homeless people lingering in the neighborhood that might have wanted to seek shelter overnight. My son also noticed a clearly inebriated man walking by the Dome parking lot. That night, I woke up at 13:00 am to our next door room neighbor slamming the front door, banging noises, and loud talking and laughter that went on until around 3:30 am, so I could not get any sleep.

Conveniently located next to the Tacoma DomePosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Most everything!
Cons: Keep both elevators working at all times.
Location: Tacoma Dome events.
I stayed at this hotel because it is located right across the street from the Tacoma Dome, where I was to attend a concert/rave. My friends and I have stayed at many hotels for such events. We all get our own rooms. Compared to other hotels, I believe that the staff were exceptionally respectful, considering the crowd they would have to deal with on busy nights such as this one. Every room was nice and clean. There's free parking, unlike Seattle hotels, and a complimentary continental breakfast buffet which they extended an extra half an hour for us who just pulled an all nighter.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. While it isn't in the center of down town, it is a short walk to everything. The free breakfast was great. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. The parking was also excellent and convenient. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel. The price was right and the experience was enjoyable.

Location worked for our travel plansPosted Mar 5, 2015
No room service menu in the room, but the front desk able to help. No other restaurants close by, but the hotel had a lounge/ restaurant with basic menu.

Just a basic hotelPosted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: easy room access from the parking lot.
Cons: Put fabric softener in the towels.
The room was small but clean. But the towels were like sand paper.

Great Hotel!Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: I love that it is right off the highway, but is quiet. I also like that there is refrigerator and microwave in each room.
Cons: I don't care for the pillows, so I bring my own. There was no phone book in the room, and none aat the front desk or in housekeeping.
Location: The hotel is directly across the street from the Tacoma Dome.
It was a great experience, and I will be back! This is my 2nd stay here, and certainly won't be my last.
