Pros:
1. Conveniently near the fair. I sprang for the $50 VIP parking next to the gold gate and regretted it because I could have walked there in the same amount of time given the snarled traffic.
2. The bedding was really comfortable to the point that I wanted to but did not steal the sheets and comforter.
Cons:
1. The bathroom floor is extremely slippery when wet and there are no mats. Getting out of the shower requires some caution if you value not falling.
2. There is a wooden shelf filled with brochures hanging to the left of the room's work bench that is positioned perfectly to crack the elbow of a left-handed mouse user. I unhooked it from the screws and set it on the floor then rehung it when I left because it was that annoying.
The upshot:
Yes, I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but I'd bring a rubber mat for the bathroom and take the Elbow Smashing Shelf off the wall first thing. Also if the sheets and comforter somehow go missing I will assert that someone else did it.
