A nice surprise!

I usually stay at large chain brand name hotels. Thankfully they were full and I discovered Hotel Murano. When in the area again I will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Cons: Add alcoves at entries to keep cold the cold out. You have a beautiful lobby but to cold to sit down and enjoy.
Location: Museum of Glass and Lemay Auto Museum.
The hotel is beautiful and we were blessed with sunny weather in November. The view from our room of Mt. Rainer and the downtown museum district was spectacular. The staff were wonderful. The food in the restaurant was so, so. Beautiful glass works on every floor, the elevators, and lobby. My only complaint would be that the lobby and restaurant were freezing. Would have enjoyed a drink in the lobby bar but it was just to cold, even with a coat on.

Nice hotel, very expensive

Posted Nov 15, 2014
Cons: Parkin fee. Get rid of it or lower the price. Too expensive especially from someone traveling outside of Washington.
Location: Not much located nearby. The University was across the street which made the area nice and friendly. There was a downtown look a like street.
The hotel was very nice from the lobby to the room. The elevator is well decorated as well as the hallways. They even have snacks and a mini bar in most rooms. Mine did. They do not charge extra unless something is missing from the snack tray or mini bar. One down side of the visit is the $16 A NIGHT PARKING FEE. Was not pleased about that knowing I was staying two nights. I already paid a lot of money for my stay and the parking fee did not make me happy.

Surprisingly nice

Awesome hotel....converted Sheraton but it's an art gallery as well. Each floor has a unique sculpture with description of the artist. The elevator control is a cool touch screen where you can select your floor before the elevators arrive. Rooms are very comfortable and they're generous with parking.

3 nights for a Wedding-- not near Seattle-

Posted Oct 21, 2014
All staff extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed on the executive floor-25th and private breakfast was convenient on that floor. Great lobby with glass fire, great bar, local artwork and string trio on a Friday night. If you need to be in Tacoma, this is the place! Traffic to Seattle can be heavy.

BEST PILLOWS EVER

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: The view of the near by marina, museums and Mt. Rainier. Very clean and pleasant. Love the glass
Location: The location is perfect if you like cars, glass art, rock and roll and great food. And the dang pillows, did not want to get out of the bed.
We needed a quick getaway, found it right in Tacoma. Gorgeous view, great food at the BITE. BREAKFAST WAS AWESOME IN BED. We will go back. The art was amazing.

The valet and reception staff were excellent! Rooms were spacious and well supplied with linens and amenities, and other needs- although some in the basket were not family friendly...

Beautifully appointed lobby

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Lobby spaces, the spectacular art, the details of the immaculate room, which included a small table for a laptop, and a marvelous view.
Cons: Size of the towels, maybe?
Location: Its location is a fifteen minute walk (max) to many of the sights of the historic old town, and of the Glass Bridge.
A beautifully appointed lobby is among the excellent features of this property. Beautiful and unexpected art furnishings grace the lobby and the vaulted ceiling spaces provided by the unique architecture of this modern hotel.
