Pleasant B&B in the countryside near Puyallup

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Location, comfortable bed, quiet, affordable.
Cons: The breakfast could be better.
Location: Close to downtown Puyallup, five-mile drive to Tacoma,
The stay was low-key: the room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the house is surrounded by quiet countryside.

Very nice close to event

Pros: Owner was very personable and helpfull
Cons: Room is a bit small but is to be expected in an old victorian house.
Location: We were going to an event at the Tacoma dome and it was only 10 miles away.
Charming little room with friendly staff. Great breakfast.

Dan and April were great hosts.

I spent two nights with Dan and April; it was my second visit in a year. they treated me very well. I would rate their customer-oriented service as excellent. the food was very good and they really made me feel at home. my room was beautiful and overlooks a valley with farms below

Nice room, absent caretakers

Posted Oct 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
I expect to have a person there upon check in. That first welcome connection is crucial to get acclimated to the new environment, and learn about dining recommendations, etc. a small door sign is not sufficient and is unprofessional. I had to wait 15 min to get ahold of someone on the phone to basically check myself in and find my room. Front steps are clearly dryrotted and require serious repair. Not a good first impression at all. Breakfast was mediocre. Host was friendly when I met him briefly later that night.

Excellent Stay

Posted Oct 16, 2014
The room was lovely and the people extremely friendly. I loved the fresh air blowing in from the balcony room--it was wonderful eating dinner from the balcony! Thank you for making the stay so personable and comfortable. The owner made my stay a great experience with his kindness. Thank you!

Great Customer Service at the Tayberry B & B

Posted Sep 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Because we were going to be arriving after 10 pm I called to find out about check-in, I spoke with Don, he said to come in and go up to our room and he'd see us in the morning. When we arrived, someone else had taken our room, so we were upgraded to a larger room with a king size bed and private bathroom as well as a sitting room. In the morning we met everyone that spent the night at the B & B, we had a very nice breakfast and Don told us the history of the B & B.
