Not a nice stay

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: See above
Location: Do not know
Stayed here one night due to late arrival on our way to Moorea and we would not recommend this hotel except for a quick layover. There are not many options in Papeete and this hotel although not terrible was not pleasing. Dirty furniture, poor A/C that did not adequately cool the room, ceiling fans that were not set at a speed that provided any air movement, etc. The breakfast was very average...all in all, not good.

Manava Suite

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Great infinity pool opened 24/7, however, not lit in the evenings. Very little lights, on grounds, after the pool bar closes.
Cons: There are no activities for families and the only recreation is the pool although there is an (gym) exercise area.
Location: Isolated from the city of Papeete and transportation is expensive except public bus transportation. Great market place, some retail stores otherwise
I arrived early morning, long before the 2 pm check in time, but they accommodated me. I was in my room by 9 am, unpacked and resting from a long trip before noon. The staff was friendly and under the circumstances very accommodating by allowing me to check in early with no additional fees. Check in and out procedures are simple and quick. Daily room service and resturant and bar service in the facility. The standard room is large, king size bed and amenities to see you through the stay. I was there one week and was comfortable throughout my stay. The resort and its grounds are kept clean. French is the main language and english is spoken sparingly.

Happy Place

Overall, very pleasant experience. Staff was very accomodating and willing to work with our limited French/Tahitian language skills. The kitchen was a huge plus and was exactly what we were looking for. Only challenge is trying to find the hotel at night; recommend using a GPS.

We enjoyed our stay the apartment was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast selection was limited as was the lunch and dinner menus. The staff were quite inflexible we sat In the restaurant for lunch but were told that as three of us wished to order from the bar menu we would have to sit in the bar and my husband who wished to order from the restaurant menu could stay needless to say my husband ordered from the bar menu and we all moved. There is no free shuttle bus to Papeete from this hotel and given that taxis are expensive they might want to consider providing one like the Radisson does

Lovely big room with separate toilet and bathroom.

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Good friendly staff on reception. Big room with our own kitchen, separate toilet and bathroom with two hand basins and deck looking out to Moorea.
Cons: Kitchen - a cork screw opener for wine bottles , bigger cups, small plastic squeeze bottle with dish detergent a separate sheet on bed
Location: Reasonably close to airport. We enjoyed walking to the grocery store for food, wine and Yacht club for a beer. Some food trucks nearby.
We enjoyed the lovely sunsets from our deck looking out at Moorea. We had an excellent personal tour driver and enjoyed the half day tour of Papeete with him. The degu station meal for my husbands birthday at the Manavea restaurant was much enjoyed. We had a great time. Muruuru.

New, on beach, classy

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: Hotel seemed new, beautiful infinity pool-gorgeous sunsets, swim up bar. Great food at restaurant.Let us use hotel facilities for late nite flight.
Cons: Had to ask for American plug adapter.
Location: Had car delivered to hotel. Drove around island in circle touring beaches and gardens. Absolutely beautiful! Wish we had more time at the hotel.
Enjoyed Dinner @ restaurant and swimming/hanging out at pool next day waiting for late night flight. Staff was courteous, let us use pool and facilities next day after night's stay. Lovely new hotel - comfortable, spacious room, comfy bed. Located not far from airport. Had rental car delivered so we could tour island on our own time. Nice swim up bar, beautiful sunsets w/outrigger crews passing by. Infinity pool with colored lights at bottom at night. Nice lounging area. Good drinks at swim up bar-great mudslide!

Great Hotel for a short stay

Posted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel. It was clean and well kept. The rooms were a good size and the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast was overpriced. The hotel was relatively near a local supermarket so ideal for self catering due to the excellent kitchen in the rooms. The pool was an excellent size and looked out on the lagoon, ideal for a sunset drink. If you say heer however, you require your own hired transport as it is slightly isolated from Papeete. However, there is absolutely nothing worth visiting in Papeete, so a car/bike may not be necessary.

Lovely pool with sunset views

Posted May 19, 2014
We have stayed here on 4 occasions now at the beginning and end of stays on Moorea and while it is a little way out of town the pool area with its infinity pool looking over to Moorea is lovely. The food for breakfast was ok, cold but edible albeit expensive but the roulottes across the road provide a very cheap well cooked evening meal with lots of choices. One of the reasons we keep coming back. The only negative about the room were the uncomfortable pillows...sore neck headache inducing pillows for one of us.
