Beautiful hotel

Had a very nice time. We were upgraded to a suite which was gorgeous. Beautiful view. The food was not quite what we were used to and very pricy, but on par with other hotels and restaurants.

"Day Room"

We were 3 couples using the suite as a 'day room' between disembarking the cruise ship & going to the airport for our flight which left at 11:50pm. Suite was more than adequate & gave us a chance to spend some time in the pool & have showers before our long trip home. It was a bit expensive but that's Tahiti!

Nice vacation

Pros: the view and set-up
Cons: maybe more activities
Location: Close enough to Papeete if you have a car. The 3 waterfalls park is close as well and worth seeing.
Beautiful, relaxing time on this resort. The view, the beach and the water were the best. Breakfast buffet was expensive ($58/person), but otherwise everything was fine. No activities available though for the beach. But I enjoyed the quiet environment. Personnel was friendly and prompt to any demands. I would recommend the hotel.

Tahiti

Pros: The setting is beaurtiful.
Cons: Maintenance of hotel. Jacuzzi was full of algae. Lots of gnats due to torrential rains.
Location: Not very impressed with Tahiti. Almost a 3rd world country.
Tahiti is very French and tropical. This is French Polynesia, therefore the staff and most guests are French or Polynesian and not very friendly Food and accommodations are very European. Remember to bring your electrical adaptor.

Good option 10 mins out of town

Pros: Clean room, working air con and clean swimming pool.
Cons: Room swipe card stops working occasionaly, meaning you have to go back to the lobby to get a new one. Happened to all three of us in different rooms.
Location: Not alot to do nearby, although backs onto a black sand beach. The hotel swimming pool is clean, refreshing and free.
Beach is only 5 meters away, but the pool is so clean and lovely, never made it that far. Clean room with good aircon and large balcony. Restaurant is pretty good and nice bar by the pool. I would recommend this hotel if you have a car, because there is nowhere to go within walking distance to hotel. Free Wifi in the lobby.

Third world hotel. five star prices

Pros: The bathroom was well appointed
Cons: The entire hotel needs to be gutted and rebuilt.
We arrived for a necessary layover after 8 nights in Bora Bora. The first thing we experienced were long hallways on the way to the room that were so clogged up with craft stands you could barely get through while wheeling your luggage. This was due to a bazaar which the hotel was putting on for the locals. Next we had air conditioning that did not work. This was by far the worse problem. The engineer was summoned and flipped a few switches and pronounced everything OK. Sadly, it still did not work as sweat poured down my wife's and my body. Another call and we moved to a new room and assured that this a/c was working, alas still no working air conditioning. By the way, I have never seen air conditioners like these. They were encased in this old yellowed plastic up near the ceiling, and exhausted right in the room. They were dirty, dusty. A third call and a third room, finally an air conditioner that worked. We later learned from one of the more honest hotel staff that "nothing worked in this hotel". A trip to the restaurant yielded mediocre results. Again, we could barely make it back to our room due to the craft bazaar. Later on that night, I went to use the "business center" to print boarding passes. There were no functioning electric lights, it was pitch black inside and outside. I had to feel my way to the computers which had the speed of old fashioned dial-up. It took 25 minutes to print 2 boarding passes. And last but not least, the bed sheets had holes in them

Dear guests, Thank you for your review. It is very disappointing to that hear that you were not pleased with your experience with us. It is not possible to compare hôtels in Bora Bora and hôtels in Tahiti as the rates in Bora Bora are 400% more expensive. The special event being held was the “Salon de la Femme”, this is a once a year event and is not normally a disturbance for hotel operation. Many of our guests were thrilled at the opportunity to be present during this time, as they were able to take full advantage of the variety of boutiques available. Including the famous Tahitian black pearls, Clothes, Souvernirs etc. that aren’t always easily accessible in Tahiti. The recent heavy weather conditions of strong rain and storms unexpectedly caused damaged on the property. Unfortunately this damage was to the generators of the air conditioning which are located on the roofs of the building. This problem was swiftly fixed and all air conditioning has now been perfectly restored. The lights in the Business centre have been checked and they are all working, the lights are normally turned off when the rooms are not in use. Sadly the internet in Tahiti is slower in comparison to other parts of the world. We are sorry that both of these things were not made clearer to you and a note has been placed in the Business centre so that this does not happen again. Excellent facility, disappointing staff

Pros: The physical facilities.
Cons: Room service and restaurant service need a lot of improvement. I also hate that they advertise free Internet and find out it is only free in the lobby
The room was exceptional, but we were given only 1 towel and 2 floor mats. The staff at the desk were pleasant, but the restaurant staff were nearly non-existant. Potentially the hotel could have been outstanding, they just didn't follow through with the details.

Great location. Far from downtown, but hotel has transportation to and from downtown. Beautiful black sand beach.
