As expectedPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Proximity to airport, good bang for your buck.
Tahiti Airport Motel was exactly as expected. The bang for your buck is very good here. The location is great in terms of proximity to the airport, which was key for us since we had a late night arrival and an early morning departure on our way to Bora Bora. As everyone else mentions, it is a steep climb up from the main road but we knew that coming in, and this was not a deal-breaker by any means for us. The new bus service into the downtown / ferry area is a bit spotty but a very affordable option, and it stops just down the road from the bottom of the steep hill that leads up to the hotel. It is about a 75-minute walk into town otherwise. The continental breakfast is satisfactory, but I would recommend supplementing it with a few of your own simple breakfast items like granola bars or extra fruits etc. There is a grocery store about 5 minutes walking distance east along the main road, and a fridge in the room. Would stay again.

Great location for tired travellersPosted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Free WiFi and the small breakfast meal.
Cons: Eggs, bacon and toasts with breakfast.
Location: Close to airport, walk distance.
Close to airport, walking distance. Great place with a breakfast meal included. Taxis are expensive, ask the hotel staff about public transport. It is a cool way to travell around and super cheap. Just be patient, the buses (sometimes) run on Tahitian time. Leave early, wait patienly and enjoy the weather

Very good for short layoversPosted Feb 16, 2014
Pros: Very clean, helpful staff.
Cons: Hotel shuttle or free pickup from airport to hotel.
Very clean rooms (the floors were practically spotless in ours - I almost could have eaten off it) and bathrooms. Bed comfortable. Taxi service to town is around CPF 1800. Staff is helpful and friendly. The worst part about this place is that it's on a hill opposite the airport, so it's really not especially fun to walk up after you arrive in Tahiti after a long flight. The climb (a few flights of stairs and a 30m long steep driveway) isn't long but you'll be out of breath and sweaty. A taxi from the airport to the hotel is CPF 1000 ($10 US) so recommended if you don't want to deal with it. Other than that, the hotel is not fancy and not suitable for a long stay because of its lack of amenities; but if you need is a transit hotel, this hotel does that job very well.

Close to airportPosted Jan 7, 2014
Pros: Proximity to airport
Cons: Better service. Keep appliances and air conditioning on when it is that oppressively hot and humid.
Booked on expedia at the last minute. Refrigerator wasn't on, and it never cooled off. Air conditioning wasn't on, and it took about 8 hours to cool the room. Free breakfast was only cereal.

Close to airport.Posted Dec 8, 2013
Pros: Quiet, and close to airport
Cons: Installation of a lift ( which is happening at the moment) The walkway from the main road could do with an upgrade or railing to hold on to.
Location: Directly opposite the airport.Use taxis to get back into town, or organise tours from hotel. hotel best as a stopping off point to or from Papeete.
Suited our needs at cruise end. Would not suit someone with mobility issues. No lift there at present. Staff did assist an 85 year old gent with his luggage to the second floor, thankfully. We chose to take a taxi to airport ( there were 5 of us). Airport can be reached on foot, but it is a very steep walk to the road entering the airport. We would suggest a taxi to anyone not very agile. It cost 2200 fpfs for all of us and our luggage, so was well worth it. Our room was quite large, bed comfortable and air conditioning worked well. No eateries nearby, but a 10 minute walk gets you to a well stocked supermarket. The continental breakfast of cereal, bread rolls, croissants, juice and coffee was quite filling, especially at 5.15 in the morning!

Real Close to the AirportPosted Dec 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The rooms were nice. If you are looking for something simple and close to the airport, this is the place to stay. There is free wifi for those of you international travelers that need to be connected to the internet. There is a great view of Moorea and the airport from the hotel lobby. As far as things to do close by, you will have to catch a taxi into Papeete. It's a nice place to stay if you are on a budget while traveling.
