Good location, but not a great hotelPosted Dec 5, 2013
The location was ok, but I felt it was a bit too pricey for the type of facility. In addition, their breakfast is from McDonald's, which it was a bit strange. The room was kind of dark and the bathroom could use an update. The staff was nice and helpful.

Location and service and excellent .Posted Jun 9, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel is located centrally to all temples - 10mins walk away - in different directions. Shopping mall 5 mins away for meals etc. Service is wonderful - organised a taxi for us to Kaoshing E-Da (difficult by public transport) at a pre arranged rate that for 2 was the same as the awkward and time consuming public transport trip. Breakfast included. Coffee/tea in room. Hot water. Only issue is the shower is basic and the mattress hard - but fine for one night .

Great little hotel in a convenient locationPosted Apr 10, 2011 on Hotels.com
The help at Good Ground was fantastic. The girls really went out of their way to help us find places to visit, places to eat etc. The room was typical for a budget hotel in Taiwan. Beds are simply mattresses on the floor. The only gripe was with the bathroom. It was a little dark and moldy in the corners. Other than that, the breakfast was very nice on Sunday morning - Chinese style. We got to know a new corner of Taiwan thanks to Good Ground.

Clean, Comfortable, and ConvenientPosted Jan 25, 2011
I was pleased with my stay at Tainan Good Ground Hotel. Although the facilities were a bit old, my room was clean and comfortable. The staff was also quite helpful and hospitable. My boyfriend and I went to Tainan for a marathon. Although the hotel typically stops serving breakfast around 9:30, the staff offered to keep breakfast out until after we returned. They also let us do late check-out (for a fee of 120 NTD/hour, about 4 USD), so we could rest after the run. I would definitely stay here again.

Ok hotelPosted Jul 16, 2010
Very basic rooms, for basic price. Too far from the train station to walk unless it is winter time and not hot. About 5 min taxi ride. Friendly staff. The male staff member at night was extremely helpful in suggesting dinner places and buying well known local items. Free wifi in room or if you can't get a signal, they will loan you a ethernet cable.
