The location is great. The price is fine. The lobby is fun with many games. However the room is not quiet enough. Whenever someone talks in the hallway, it'll be like they're talking in your room. The service is okay. Pretty friendly staff.

Great location of the hotel within walking disctance from Ximen MRT and NTU Hospital. Although rooms can be a little small (standard for the city), the rooms and hotels are well decorated. Finally, I need to thank the whole staff from the hotel who was very helpful and welcoming. They helped us a few times with sightseeing and restaurants recommendations. I will definitely come back here when I am in Taipei.

A well located hotel
The hotel is well located in the city centre, just 10 minutes walk from the Taipei Main Station or 3 minutes walk from the NTU Hospital metro station. It is convenient to go elsewhere in the city or connect with the international airport as the new airport train is now connected. Room is clean and the space is acceptable. It provides basis necessity such as free wifi, wall-mounted tv, coffee and tea and a small fridge. However, there is no safe and cloth closet. As I stayed on the upper floor, the shower water run quite slow. Even though the hotel upgraded me to a window room, I found there was not much difference to a without window room as there was a wall of the building next to it blocking the window and only a gap of about 1 ft. left. Anyhow, the staff service is good and when compared the price and location, this is a value deal.

when i walk in to the building was so dark and my friend was helping with my luggage had fall down so hard, i try talk to the male staff at the counter about my friend fall down they seems like dont care about it. and the room that i stay smell urine so horrible ,very bad experience i would not stay this hotel!!!

Not happy with the room air-con even though changed to another room. Room temp as high as 28.5 degree C. No improvement in the 2nd room as well...temp still stands at 27 degree C. Need to early check out to get rid of hot environment. Reception of TV signal is bad. Hotel staff are very good & polite.

The so-called room with window and street view was but an opening fit only for an air-conditioner. There are many rooms without a window at all.

At first, it was not good. I asked the hotel of non smoke room but there was smoke smell remained in the room so it was not delightful. But the deluxe room I had was big enough and overall it was comfortable

Nice Hotel Overall

Small size hotel room but clean
The room is smaller than I expected, just one chair provided next to the bed. Another person need to sit on the bed. There is space to open two small size luggage. The cleaning staff is very nice. She tidies the room neatly and properly. She even helps fold up my clothes which I put on the bed. It is about 10 mins away from Ximen.

Good value and nice breakfast
Travelled as family of 4, booked two separate rooms. Pros - Rooms clean. Despite small living space, bathroom was good size - Room service good despite previous reviews suggesting it was not done early in the day - TV had lots of channels. - Hotel wifi excellent - fast and very reliable. - Breakfast in the mornings always tasty and staff provided excellent service. - Location very convenient for MRT (NTU hospital) and close proximity to shops around Taipei Station and Ximen areas Cons - The rooms had no windows, so relied on air conditioning. - There was no closet and only 2 clothes hangers available, which was a bit inconvenient.

Overall experience was great, room and service were okay. The last time we stayed here I think breakfast was better and then they did not ask any deposits when we checked, but that was like 9 months ago... everything has changed still love this hotel. Cozy and modern feel even though we got the room that has no window. Thanks.

Lost in terminology
Very nice and convenient hotel. Only with term "standard room" I understand room with windows, where as here in Asia it seams to be different. For European/North America standards room without it would be an "economy" or "super saver". Just one has to be aware of it. Staff was very helpful and breakfast generous.

Near MRT station and easy to find but there some disappointed for the facilities. The shower water pressure was a big problem. It too weak and make you don't feel clean after taking shower. And see some insect in the room like spider. The hotel staff are nice and friendly.

Wonderful location. By the way the room is dark. I hope Chaiin Hotel could light up your hotel's room. Sound too bad. I could hear the noisy at night. Conclusion is ok for me.

A pleasant stay at Chaiin
I enjoyed my stay in Chaiin Hotel even though the room was a little small in size, might need to add more clothes hook. Buffet breakfast has limited choices of food although many varieties. Very welcoming and helpful service staffs.

The hotel is very convenient. You can access to any famous shop from your hotel and close the metro station. Our room was upgraded to VIP room that with a Bath Tube and more space. I will recommended this hotel to others.

great location, 5 mins walk to NTU hospital station and traveling is very easy from there onwards. Do not walk from Taipei main station as it'll take very long. There are museums nearby as well as a park. There isn't much people in the area on weekdays so the neighborhood is relatively peaceful and quiet. Breakfast is not bad, though I feel there's too much processed food such as hotdogs and sausages. Room is okay too except it's on the small side, even the executive room with window was small.

Very comfortable. B1 was rather noisy and air was a little stale. mixed up a booking but made up for it. Conveniently located and value for money. i had a group of 18 of us altogether. Do check in on Hotel earlier and assign rooms to avoid waiting around. Things were a little messy booking through Hotels.com, poor comms with Hotel. Otherwise, sleep was good and it was very easy getting to and from Hotel.

Very good location, but my room was in the center zone of the square footprint of the floor, so there was no window. Bathroom has glass partition and modern fixtures, overall is pretty good, especially the price including breakfast. I guess you have to sacrifice with no window with such low price.

Stayed for 3 nights with family, booked 2 economy twin rooms. The hotel room was slightly larger than expected, no problems opening 2 large suitcases on the floors. 2 bottles of free water each day. The hotel is within 10 minutes walk to Taipei train station.

We stayed for 4 nights and were very satisfied with the room condition. All the toiletries and slippers are changed new every day. The room is small but super clean. Nearby are lots of banks, watson, family mart, Uniqlo... Just walk few steps to NTU hospital station which is located in a park. 10 mins walk to Taipei Main Station, Shinkong shopping center and Ximen center. Hotel service is good. Breakfast is basic but good enough to me. This hotel is recommended to stay upon arriving Taipei. Very worthy with the price.

This hotel in in a convenient location, only about a 10 minute walk to the MTR. This hotel is close to several bakeries and coffee shops which we appreciated! The hotel room itself was very small, you definitely get what you pay for. Wifi was good! Hotel stay also comes with free breakfast which was good for a quick something before heading out for the day. Overall, would recommend if you are looking for something cheap & convenient.

Everything was good except one thing.
Friendly clerk, clean room, good equipments was prepared. Just one thing I didn't satisfy was they requested 3,000twd deposit even I already payed via hotel.com. You can refund the amount after room checking by employees of hotel.

OK, but!
Rooms are small. Good for one night. Longer stays better off elsewhere. Also, can be pricey unless you get a really good discount. Location is good for the main Taipei train station and busses to/from the airport.
