Great Hotel and conveniently located.

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Free Breakfast, No need to have converter for electronic devices, and electronic toilet. It is convenience to my attractions in Taiwan.
Cons: The bedroom itself is small compare to the bathroom. I think maybe increase the size of the room and decrease the size of the bathroom.
Location: Conveniently located next to Daan Park and MRT. Close to CKS Memorial/Hall, original Din Tai Fung and couples stop away from Taipei 101.
Great Hotel for the price. They provide a fantastic breakfast buffet with western and asian cuisine. It is conveniently located to the MRT which allows to to go to many of the top destinations in Taiwan within 1-5 stops. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful in finding places to go to in Taiwan particular Kiku and Shenny at the reception desk. As a world traveler 2 unique features that the room has that I have not found in other countries at this price point are the electronic toilet and the outlets are suitable for western electronics.

Good location. Very clean room. Great service.

Pros: See my comments in 'my experience' column.
Cons: Lack of drawers to store clothing and small items.
Location: Near the heart of Taipei. Within short walking distance to two subway lines. There are many restaurants in nearby Yongkang st. Opposite Daan Park.
I stayed in this hotel in my visits to Taipei in the last 3 years, each time for 5 or more days. I like its clean rooms and great service. The only drawback is the small room. The location is very good, very close to 2 different subways.

Pros: clean, location, friendly multilingual staff and food!
Location: Da-an park, Yong-kang street for quick bites (and pubs) at night, Ding Tao Fong is 5 minutes away. Weekend vendors.
Great location. Seconds away from metro, bus stops, YouBike, and Da-an park for a morning walk. 7-11 located downstairs. Great staff, breakfast is delish! Wifi, laundry, business center, coffee and afternoon tea in the lobby, shoe-polisher and a scale (for luggage) are also in the lobby. Room: soap, shampoo, body wash, tooth brush/ paste/ floss/ lotion, shower cap, hair brush, Q-tips/ cotton balls, slippers... and yes, daily cookies.

Affordable rates, world class treatment

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Cons: Had a rude awakening when kids were walking up and down the corridors.
I booked a Deluxe Room bought got upgraded to the new Family room which had 1 Queen bed and a single one. The rooms were clean and decently comfortable. Complimentary, water, soft drink, snacks and coffee/tea are provided. Whilst there are pros there are surely some cons, what I didn't like was that the hallways aren't noise proof. Had a rude awakening when kids were walking up and down the corridors. Breakfast was also included but the quality and variety probably only average tasting. My advice? Go and enjoy the amazing food outside! Hotel provides free wifi(very important for travellers this age). If you do not have any devices to connect to the internet, fret not as they have two computers which provides you the necessary means for access. These computers are crucial for checking in and printing your boarding passes for flights (yes, they provide free printing too!). Free coffee is provided if you ever decide to chill in their lobby lounge. I realised how convenient the location was. The Daan Park MRT station, located right next to the hotel entrance is situated in in a very central line which directly connects to all main stations that you would want to head too. Right in between Taipei 101 and most popular spots such as Ximending and Gongguan.Walking distance from Yonkang St. They also provide free laundry service serve but I didn't not require any washing to be done so I can't really comment on that service.

We had an enjoyable stay. The staff were most friendly, helpful and the facilities were excellent with clean, comfortable room and top up with a lovely breakfast each morning. They even had a delightful surprise on Friday - someone to play violin music while we eat. The washing facilities was really great. There is only one lift which was the only drawback. Otherwise, a superb hotel, well located with easy access to the garden, train station, eating places and shopping. Go for it, you will be delighted. Oh yes, when you checked out and book a taxi to go to the airport, make sure you tell the taxi driver which airport to go. Our taxi driver brought us to the wrong airport. There are 2 airports. We had to hail another taxi to take us to the correct airport which was another 75 minutes away!!! It all adds up to the excitement of the trip even at 67! Harry and Mary, NZ

Great Boutique hotel for the price and location

Posted Aug 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Excellent Location with a view of the park across the street. Metro station right down the street and 7-Eleven store around the corner. So convenient to many eateries within walking distance ie the famous Ding Tai Fung. Hotel staff were all so nice and polite. Breakfast was wonderful with western and eastern cuisine offered. Even had a violinist serenade during breakfast. Has washer and dryer available for laundry. Would definitely stay here again next time in Taipei.

Hotel is conveniently located and adjacent to the Daan Park metro station. An alternative choice if prefer a less hustle and bustle neighbourhood of Taipei.

Loved the location of this hotel. Close to flowers and jade markets as well as the famous Din Tai Fung restaurant. Hotel staff and service were excellent. This is the only place I would stay in Taipei!

Modern hotel, convenient location

Pros: The welcoming and friendly staff. The location is fantastic.
Location: There is an MRT right across the road. This can take you anywhere. The MRT is efficient and so clean.
The staff were welcoming and helpful from the time we arrived. They went out of their way to assist us, especially Kiku, who made a number of phone calls on our behalf. The hotel was clean and comfortable and is situated right next door to a 7 Eleven and the MRT. The Dandy is a small hotel and not as chaotic as larger ones. We would stay their again.
