Great hotel for pricePosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife and I spent 3 nights. Location was great with an easy walk to one of two train stations. Not quite in the more heAvily trafficed part of the city so it was a nice pace. Daan Park right across the street was very pleasant. I missed the breakfast but my wife said it was a decent spread. Hotels has a nice decor more pleasant than a chain. Room was spacious and had a fun theme. Would have liked a better mattress but wasn't unomfortable. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Definitely recommend.

quiet comfortable hotel in a great locationPosted Jun 13, 2013
Pros: thoughtful touches, clean, spacious room, great location,
Cons: mirror above the bed was a little weird, but to each his(or her?) own, never went down to the lounge but did not have any dining options after 10pm.
Location: Great location. Taipei 101 is about half an hour-45 minutes walk down the street but there are plenty of transport options if walking isn't your thing
Quiet, thoughtful, spotless, great location! This was my first time coming to Taipei and this hotel certainly helped in making a great first impression. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel lobby is very small- I think at least half of the hotel's property is taken up by the parking garage. The room was spacious and spotless-including the bathroom. Great water pressure in the shower and a nice big jacuzzi tub with jets was a welcome surprise. The wifi is free, fast, and easy to connect to. Many thoughtful touches: after a day of touring the city I was delighted to find a complimentary plate of fresh fruit and some chocolate in my room. There were plenty of English channels to peruse as well as an English language newspaper delivered to the room each morning of my stay, umbrellas for rainy days etc. Check out couldn't have been easier and may have taken a grand total of 10 seconds. Da'an is a great area- the hotel is directly across the street from the park. It's close to the metro, the bus goes right by the hotel and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby (including a 24 hour Mos Burger which I had never heard of, but the staff at the front desk were kind enough to direct me to when I was arriving to the hotel late at night and very hungry). If you're interested in taking a long walk (about 45 minutes) you can walk down the street and find yourself at the Taipei 101- or just take one of the many buses. Truly enjoyed my stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Pros: Everything was great here.

Great location, great facilitiesPosted Dec 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
The rooms are super nice, super clean, and the location can't be beat. We've stayed here twice, and had different but great rooms each time. Front desk service is a bit impatient, but it's not really a big deal.

great value for downtown TaipeiPosted Nov 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
Excellent value right on the north edge of Da'an Park. The room was very tastefully decorated, clean, and modern. The staff were great. They thought of everything. Turn down service with chocolates, complimentary beverages in room, free fruit plate showed up one afternoon, voucher for breakfast at nearby restaurant for early risers who leave before hotel breakfast is served, etc. The hotel is not large but they make the most of their space. Classical European-style decor. Not sure why, but I feel compelled to mention that there are beautiful large friezes in the central foyer area which add interest to elevator ride. Central location means you are within walking distance to either Tapei 101 or Chiang Kai-Shek memorial and 2-28 Peace Park. The only thing some might consider a downside is that the hotel is not immediately adjacent to any MRT station -- it's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest station. That may explain the reasonable room rates. I found this place to be a great value and would definitely stay there again.

not recommended to holiday and family travelers.Posted Jan 10, 2012
Cons: cleaning, smell, and so many...
This hotel is for "sex purpose". Most rooms smelled Tobacco although the hotel says "all rooms are non-smoking". Rooms are not ready when I checked in around 4pm and the room was stinky! Then, I changed an another room and I found a used condom and an empty wine bottle on the floor. So, I changed room again after I claimed to the hotel manager. But, I still smelled Tobacco, but I just had to be patient...because I really need to enjoy my holiday... After the big efforts, the hotel gave me some free fruits, but the bed seats never changed to fresh one in 6 days, so I took off the seats myself and dropped off to the floor. I traveled so many countries and stayed so many hotels, but I never seen this kind of "special hotel" so far...
