“Great Taipei Hotel”

Very clean, comfortable, up to date hotel. Located 30-35 min from TPE, and a 5-7 min walk from MRT station (four MRT stops from Taipei Main Station). Staff was friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast and wifi included in room price. All in all, a great value.

“Taipei will steal your heart”

We were extremely happy with the hotel. The location was easy walking distance to a MRT station. The hotel staff were kind and courteous. The double room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel offered free shuttle service to several top tourist destinations. The Shilin night market should not be missed. We will stay here again when we return next year.

Area recommendations
We were centered in the Zongshan neighborhood which was great. We were able to walk to many parks, museums, and temples. The neighborhood was quiet and safe at night.

“Excellent hotel at reasonable price”

Everything is good with the hotel, extremely well maintained, good location, good services. I first booked for 6 nights, but had to shorten by 2 nights. I booked 6 nights, but had to leave 2 days earlier due to a typhoon. Called expedia, hotel agreed not to bill the 2 nights. Expedia said will refund and send email confirmation within 24 hours, 3 days passed, still waiting for this email. Hope it all ends up well.

“One of The Best”

Have stayed in Grand Hayat, W and lot of other over priced hotels where service during Computex is extremely poor (90 mins+ for room service + cold food) , Poor House Cleaning. I Paid Nearly Half of what i pay their and got an excellent Suite. Hotel Staff are very friendly and Speak English. Taxis are easy to get. A Small Super Market is next door. Taxis are very cheap and hotel has lot of free shuttle buses. A Gem!!!

“Second time and will go back again”

We chose this hotel because it has "Junior Suite" rooms that are affordable. We have a 1-1/2-year old child, and being able to have him sleep in his travel crib in a second room makes a world of difference when traveling. The hotel is very clean and the location is very convenient, especially to/from Song Shan Airport (5 minute taxi ride). The Junior Suite room is comfortable. The buffet breakfast has Chinese and western options. It's not fancy but is adequate. The staff are very friendly, approachable, and professional. Everyone speaks good English. It seems the hotel is popular with foreign visitors -- Europeans, Americans, and Japanese -- which to me is an overall positive sign. This is our second time staying at the Riviera Hotel, and our experience this time was just as good as the first. We would definitely go back on our next trip to Taipei.

“Classy upscale & clean business hotel.”

I booked the Riveria hotel based on the price and location for my first trip to Taipei. Compared to many of the hotels located more central to downtown, this was a relative steal. Located conveniently about a 10 min walk to the Danshui MRT station on the red line, you have pretty quick, easy access to anywhere in the city by train. The Riviera is a nice, classy business hotel clearly catered towards business travellers both domestic and foreign, so you will see a lot of non Taiwan tourists and guests in the hotel, hotel staff speaks pretty passable english and service is very good with a personal touch. Room condition was very clean and for the price I had a pretty large business suite by western hotel standards, modern furnishings, fixtures, great bathroom/shower. Also I had a complimentary breakfast every morning that was a full buffet, food was excellent and a mix of asian and western brunch items. Also they offer FREE shuttle service with appointment to popular tourist destinations like the Taipei 101, National Palace Museum and others. So you can save even more time and effort on getting to places. The only downside is the immediate neighborhood has a more 'local' feel and maybe come off as a bit low class to some travellers, but it still seems relatively safe at night.

“Very friendly, quiet”

Staying in this hotel was a nice welcome to Taiwan. Talk about efficiency! The staff took care of business in a very friendly and efficient manner. We felt very welcomed! The quietness of the hotel and the proximity to the train station and several tourist attractions was a big plus! The breakfast buffett was excellent. Great value for the money.

“Great hotel”

Great hotel, service was outstanding, allowed me to check in slightly early, packed a breakfast for me due to early departure. Had a couple movie channels. About 5-10 minute walk from MRT. Nice massage place across alley, quick mart also just across alley. I was not in hotel for very long but service was great, very friendly, most spoke English which made things easy.

“Cannot wait to stay again”

When we arrived, they were ready to serve. The first night was a little cold. Then, they provided an electric heater. Food was very good and room was comfortable and clean.

Area recommendations
National Palace Museum. A lot is worth to watch.
