“A good mix of cheap and clean”

The hotel staff were very friendly and generally helpful when it came to questions about the city and transportation. This hotel is a convenient 5-10 minute walk to an MRT metro station, and I was able to take a bus from the airport (Evergreen Line) which took me to within two blocks of Yomi for under $5 US (the bus ride back was from around the corner at the neighboring hotel and only $3 US). The neighborhood itself is nothing to write home about, but who cares when you can very quickly take an MRT ride to several locations around the city. I still enjoyed a great local meal a few blocks the hotel after a recommendation from a local. I had free breakfast every morning which was better than average, free internet which was decent, and free laundry services (do-it-yourself, but very easy). Overall a nice experience for a 3-star hotel.

Very good hotel for the price. I will recommend this hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Hotel staff helpful and courteous. Good public bus service nearby. 7-11 shops in vicinity.

“Great deal for the price”

There are a lot of reviews already. I just want to add that I got free local fruits in my room (banana, kiwi, and apple), my bath tub was made from wood, they offer free bicycle rent. I really loved breakfast they serve, from 0700 to 1000. …I got more than I expected from 3* Hotel. I definitely recommend this Hotel.

“Super clean yet cheap”

I prefer to stay in super clean 2 star, rather than dirty 5 star. This is a great choice if you are staying in Taipei.

“Clean and Convenient”

Our room was aging but clean and comfortably furnished. The hotel offers an impressive range of free amenities, from cup noodles, fruit and barley tea to shaving cream to in-room wifi. Breakfast is a feast of food Western, Japanese and Taiwanese styles. We enjoyed it, but imagine that it might disappoint carnivores! The service is polite but distant: for instance, when we asked in Chinese, "how long does it take to bus to the airport?", the front desk interrupted, "you should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure," and left it at that, even after we asked again. For your info, it takes around an hour in light traffic to and from Taoyuan Airport on the Kuo Kuang 国光 bus (NT 125) or Da You 大有 (NT 90). Yomi's stop is at the Ambassador Hotel, just right around the corner.

“Good hotel in conventient location”

I arrived at hotel early and was able to check in before the check-in time. Hotel staff is friendly and can communicate in English well. Hotel offers free WIFI in the rooms, but signal strength is somewhat weak and disconnects regularly. Good thing they also have 4 computers in the basement for hotel guests to use free of charge. Hotel offers free washing (2) and drying machines (2) in the basement behind the dining area. No detergent needed for the washing machines and the drying machine takes forever to dry clothes. The location of the hotel is close to the subway and many food street vendors available nearby. There is a convenient market and also a Pizza Hut nearby the hotel. I recommend riding the Airport bus "Dai Yau" to the hotel for $90NT versus $1200NT for a taxi. Tell the driver you wish to get off at the Ambassador Hotel which is one block away from the Yomi hotel.

“Nice hotel, Would go back again”

+Great Location. +Friendly Staff. +Lots of extras (like Wii rental, Fitness room, Bicycle rental, computer room) +Generally feels like it is professionally run and perfect if you are traveling to Taiwan on business. -Breakfast is the same thing everyday I've been to Taipei multiple times and this is one of the more professionally run 3 star hotels I've been to. Other places may look nice in pictures in their websites, but when you actually live there you'll notice they are missing out on a detail or two.

“so so..”

pillows are too old and the bed is too firm. Need to have extra pillow available. Free breakfast not available until 7AM, we have to leave the hotel 645AM for airport, should provide to go /bag breakfast for early departure traveler.
