“Average hotel”

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly but rooms were just average. Location is convenient to downtown and shopping malls though.

“best hotel close to FSU”

The hotel was impeccably clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. This was by far the best option in proximity to FSU. I could walk to campus, but also felt safe in the hotel and surrounding neighborhood. My only minor complaint is that the only free wi-fi is in the lobby; you have to pay to use it in your room.

“Walking Distance to Capitol”

I was there on government business, and not being very familiar with traffic in Talahassee I wanted to be within walking distance of the Capitol. It was less than a ten minute walk. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. My only complaint with the room is that, like most hotels, it was heavily sprayed with Febreeze or other "freshener." Like so many other people I am chemically sensiitive to fragrances. Fragrance free rooms should be an option, as are non-smoking rooms, because they make chemically senitive people ill. Other than that I recommend this facility highly. The hotel restaurant was first rate.

The neighborhood around the Capitol. It is clean, well patrolled by police, and within walking distance of numerous restaurants.

“Funky smelling room”

I have stayed at this location a few times but this most recent stay really disappointed. The room we got had a terrible B.O. / mildew smell. We complained and asked if they could Febreze (or whatever) the room. We were told by the night staff upon check-in that they didn't do that kind of thing, and then the next morning were told it would be taken care of, but it wasn't. Also to add insult to injury they never vacuumed the bathroom floor, leaving us to wallow in our hair for the stay, and they never re-filled the tissue dispenser in the bathroom. Carpet was also in really rough shape with lots of stains. We actually had two rooms with relatives staying in another room that was in much better shape with no smell. I guess we got unlucky. Next time we go back to Aloft!

“Close to the action in TLH”

Hotel was near the Supreme Court where I was arguing a case, the staff was courteous and helpful, breakfast and coffee were excellent and reasonably priced, and my bed was comfortable and clean. For a one-night trip in which sleep was important to me, that's about all I could ask for.

“Pretty good for the $$$”

It's proximity to the colleges can't be beat. It's pretty godd for the $$$. Just make sure you stay on top of the staff for your needs. They sometimes need to be reminded that you asked for stuff.

“FSU Freshman Orientaton”

The hotel was quite clean and the check in staff was extremely helpful. I can't say that for the staff at check out- as they were actually quite rude, and not at all what I expect from this chain. However, the kitchen staff was amazing! I have serious food allergies, and room service was quite understanding and patient with me while I explained exactly what i wanted. My food was clean, without cross contamination and cooked to perfection. Thank You. I will definately be back over the next 4 years of my daughters college career.
