You pay for what you get....

Posted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: Nothing. wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Cons: Everything, it needed a lot of renovations or updates. It was a very old hotel or else very used and nothing done to upgrade in years.
I was horribly disappointed in this hotel from the moment I entered the room. It was dirty around the air conditioner, the drawers in the dresser did not fit. The bathroom sink was all cracked, the tissue holder was in pieces and there were a multitude of other problems. I didn't even want to undress to sleep in the bed.

Disappointment

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Close to location of the event I was attending.
Cons: Better customer services and cleaning staff.
Location: I wasn't interested in what was near or around me because it was a schedule short stay.
Wasn't what I expected. Cleanliness, room comfort, great customer services was missing. There was no heat in the room and when I called the front desk around 11:00 P.M. I was told I could come down and get a portable heater, which I did. No efforts were made to try and accommodate me any other way, such as bringing the heater to my room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and frankly I believe a portion of my money should be returned. The phone was extremely dirty as was the sink and bathroom floor. This was not a good stay for me.

Great Value for $79 per night

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The night manager was very pleasant and welcoming, considering she was slammed with people checking in after the football game.
Cons: Update bathrooms, fix water pressure in shower and reupholster/clean chairs/couch.
Location: Close to I-10, convenient for access to FSU.
Overall the Hotel was very clean, however, all fixtures including chairs, couch were dated and not as clean as I would expect, bedding and towels were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we spent $170 per night, and had I booked ahead could have ahad a 3 1/2 STAR hotel for the same rate. The water pressure was unacceptable.

Nice hotel close to Walmart & restaurants

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: The price and location.
Cons: The cable reception was not very good. I was watching one channel, then it suddenly blacked out.
Location: The hotel is on Monroe St, so it was really close to Walmart & many restaurants, from fast food to fine dining.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Microtel. The room was comfortable and clean. It's location is in walking distance of Walmart & restaurants.

Fine. Room is small. You do need a fridge and a microwave.
