“Will definitely stay here again”
The Inn was clean, nice, comfortable, and the front desk clerk was MOST helpful when we needed extra blankets. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tallahassee. ONLY other comment: eat dinner before getting to the Inn, There is nothing around but beautiful trees. I go to Tallahassee often to see my son at FSU and to go to football games. I used to stay near I10 and fight the after-game traffic heading north after a Noles game. Staying at Wildwood was a great alternative - heading South from Tallahassee was a breeze. What a nice break from the traffic and strip malls of the city.
“Review”
The day time staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy but seemed a bit dated. I had no noise problems in my room but family on a different floor complained about hearing the tv in adjoining rooms. I would certainly stay again.
“An armpit in Wakulla county”
A very quiet place in Wakulla county but there is nothing to do there except golf. More over, the breakfast in general and the coffee in particular are absolutely awful. Air conditionning was out of order... This hotel is too isolated with very few costumers, but this is a rather good nest for riding to Panacea, Wakulla beach, apalachicola...
“Bad timing”
The people at the desk were wonderful and not responsible for the problems we encountered. The property is for sale and many of the rooms aren't available, apparently. We were the only ones there initially until 3:30 AM when a loud couple checked in next door. They might as well have been in our room. NO SOUND reduction between rooms. We called and the front desk apparently called them. It quieted some but we could hear everything they did. Next night, bedtime, same thing: family checked in next door. Went to the front desk. She showed me that most of the rooms were blocked out, but she could move us 2 doors down so no one would be on either side. Worked fine. Not their fault. The office manager took time to unlock the restaurant to get a can opener for us when we didn't have one. Employees were great, room comfortable and huge, good location for where we were going, but wouldn't stay there again. Maybe the new owners will sound proof the walls! Breakfast fine: sausage biscuits, yogurt, juice, cereal, bagels, etc. Hate to be negative about such a pretty place, but we do need sleep and the management really hosed this one up.
“Never Going Back”
This hotel caters to the obnoxious guest. People are loud & rude all hours of the night, including those working there. Loud music, screaming children, and vicious dogs are just a few of the things they will leave out in their description of this hotel, but we are from this area, and know that it's true. Also, breakfast is plain bagels, and toast. Nothing more. And, if you want any of it, you better get there before 7:30 am, because they will not replenish the "buffet". We stayed here just for a place to sleep and did not get to sleep (or eat) at all. It was terrible. I would highly reccommend the Sweet Magnolia, Shell Island Fish Camp, or anywhere in Tallahassee over this place.
“I would return”
I like 4 star hotels and only reading about this online always makes me nervous when booking, but the resort was lovely. The inn is secluded but close to the lighthouse area. We never drove toward the town, so i could not give you and opinion of it. I give the hotel a 3 for comfort because I could not sleep in the bed, was too hard, even bringing my own topper (which usually helps). The hotel itself though was very, very nice and we had a simple but sufficient continental breakfast of bagels, yogurt, cereal, muffins, coffee and juice. There is a golf course and restaurant (limited menu) a parking lot away with a bar. Rustic, but very nice and clean. It is one of 2 hotels in the area so we really did not have to much choice, but i would not hesitate to return. Our check out person in the am was not very pleasant but it would not deter me from a revist especially since everyone else there was nice.
“nice and clean”
nothing fancy but very clean. confortable beds and large rooms. some staff was friendly but no all. breakfast was ok, nothing amazing. overall good place to stay on a budget. i would stay here again
“Clean and Simple”
Nothing fancy here. Just a clean convenient place to stay.
“Off the beaten path”
The hotel is kind of isolated which made it peaceful. It's close to Wakulla Springs which is why we chose it originally. Our room was very nice and comfortable. The continental breakfast is very basic - bagels, cold cereal, mini-muffins, coffee, orange juice, yogurt. They ran out of a lot of it by our 2nd breakfast. The pool had algae growing in it as well as some water bugs. I guess that's what happens when you're a nature-friendly hotel - no chlorine in the pool water. We would stay there again if we ever return to that area.
“Good place to stay”
Everything was neat and clean and employes were very helpfull.
