“Great location; very convenient.”

The location of the hotel was great for a tourist. Our room, on the top floor, had slanted ceilings, but plenty of room. The hotel was clean,fresh and well-maintained. the staff was efficient and friendly.The only complaints were that the breakfast buffet selection was average at best, and the shower/tub had no curtain or other barrier to prevent water from the shower from spraying on to the surrounding floor. Ask for a room on the courtyard (front) of the building; the back side abuts a very busy tourist street (pedestrian traffic only) which is noisy far into the night.

“Location”

Although the hotel is not located in the central city, the 3T tram, which provides access to most areas of interest, runs right by it. Consequently, I had no problem getting to my destinations from the hotel.

“Great hidden hotel ...”

this is a nice hotel in the center of the beautiful Tallinn old town. easy walk to anything - markets, clubs, restaurants, etc. room was clean - although the back-side rooms have no view. broadband was a nice plus! Would stay there again.

“Everything was good except for telephone fee”

The roo was clean and convenient with the internet connection. Breakfast was gorgeous considering the price. When I lost my wallet in Euroline bus, a cleark helped me very kindly. But the telephone fee was extraordinary expensive. So please just care full when making international call. I think the price is 4 to 5 times of ordinary price.

“Nice hotel in the old town”

This hotel was perfectly situated just inside the old town of Tallinn. It was also close to one of the malls of Tallinn for shopping. The breakfast was the only let down, it was very basic - but it was free so I can't complain.

“Baltic Hotel Vana Wiru”

This hotel is beautiful, with 50s style furnishings. The staff are fluent in English which was perfect for me because I don't speak any other languages. The hotel has many energy saving features which was refreshing to notice. For example, the key card must be plugged into a control slot inside the room to turn on the electrical fixtures for the room, so if you leave the room you won't accidentally leave lights on. The complimentary breakfast WAS GREAT! They offered full buffet with a lot of variety available. Much better than most "contintental" breakfast offerings!

“Nice hotel, great location, good value.”

I stayed here for 3 nights in October 2012, single room. The public guest areas and the room were both clean. Design elements are dated, but thats no problem, just an observation. This hotel is in a great location in Old Town Tallinn, within a 5 minute walk to most popular sights, the town square and the Tram stops. Hotel staff were always very pleasant, friendly and helpful. They were proactively helpful offering assistance with things that one might typically visit a tourist information office. My only complaint is the mattress on the bed. It was very soft and offered no back support, I often heard springs popping when I moved in the bed. Otherwise it was a very nice stay. The breakfast buffet was also very nice. I found it o be a great value for the money spent.

“Fine hotel in Old Town Tallinn”

The Baltic Hotel Vana Wiru has a very central location smack in the middle of Old Town Tallinn. My room wasn't anything special, but was clean and comfortable. Overall it wasn't much bigger than the bed and two nightstands. I would ask for a room that doesn't face the driveway alongside the entrance of the hotel; my room was directly above the entrance and it was quite noisy as people sat out there drinking and smoking in the evening. The staff were helpful and attentive, and for the price and location it was completely satisfactory. Make sure you go across the street and walk on the old city wall section- it's a euro or two but well worth it to climb the tiny steep stairs inside two of the guard towers and see the city from atop the wall in between them.

“Good value”

Good value, good staff, excellent location. Good breakfast. Hotel is in old town, but away from the noise.

“Reasonable Hotel in Tallinn - Staff service much better than the facility”

Acceptable hotel in the old town section of Tallinn - you can walk just about anywhere from there. But as parties and party animals converge in the evening, you can hear them and if you are trying to sleep anytime before midnight good luck! Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful - they prepared breakfast and left it on a table just for us (2 people) as we were departing at 5 AM and regular breakfast started at 6 AM. Our room was ok - my travel partner thinks the bed had bugs in it as we both had bug bites after having slept there. But it was just a nuisance and lots of itching - nothing else. Overall it was acceptable and the staff helpfulness made up for this issue.
