As our hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Tallinn, built in 1890, our guestrooms are still rather to the small side, as was inherent in the architecture and Kalamaja area back then. Our respectable age is also the reason we are not able to offer an elevator. Hopefully You had a great time exploring our beautiful Kalamaja area and The Old Town and we wish You a great summer from all Economy Hotel team!

Great value, good location.
Right near train station and city bus terminal, with tram right out front. Walking distance to Old Town. Marketplace with shops, restaurants, and supermarket just steps away.

You get what you pay for.
For the money in a Baltic country is was rather basic and not as good a deal as the hotels we got in Lithuania and Latvia. NO breakfast.

Good location, OK stay
Situated in an odd room on the ground floor of the hotel which because quite noisy from outside revellers at night. Otherwise room was clean and tidy and staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a good location for facilities.

Friendly staff, great location.
A friendly and relaxed all round stay. Excellent location very close the the 'Old Town'. Ideally situated for train and tram services. Excellent Wi-fi, and comfortable room. Highly recommended.

A very good budget hotel
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic but very clean. We had a couple of minor issues the room phone did not work and gave off low whining and the curtains could not be drawn, however, the bed was comfortable we had plenty of hot water and these minor issues did not deminish our overall good experience. The hotel is location is excellent for the old town but is close to a tram stop and train station so may not suit very light sleepers

Great location in Tallinn
We only stayed 1 night at the hotel. For the price we paid, we couldn't really complain. It was located within walking distance of the train station (where we arrived from St Petersburg) and also just a mere 15 minutes walk to the Old Town where most of the sights of Tallinn were. There were 3 of us, so 1 of the bed was a sofa bed, and it was surprisingly very comfortable. The room was decently sized. Unfortunately, our room was located on the 3rd floor and the hotel had no elevator, which meant we had to carry our heavy luggages up the stairs. Our room was also facing the main road, and we had to keep the windows open in order to have air circulation as there was no air-conditioner in the room, which also meant the road traffic can be rather noisy. If you're looking for a decently priced hotel for short stay in a great location, this is definitely one to consider, but don't expect any frills with it.

Nice budget hotel near the old town
Nice little hotel in an historic building very close to the old town and lots of eating options nearby. My room was big, airy and clean with a nice, modern bathroom. Was able to walk to the hotel from the ferry terminal. Staff was helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. I only had 3 minor issues. First, even though the bathroom was nice the toilet was in a space so cramped it was hard to sit on. Second there was some street and tram noise (my room faced the railway station. ) Finally there is no air-conditioning and my room got a little warm when the sun streamed though the big window. That said I would stay there again. (The Asian restaurant a couple of doors down is good.)

Very good hotel close to the old town
Positively impressed by atmosphere of old building and condition of relatively new renovation; very friendly staff; spent very peaceful night (prefer room with window to backyard, otherwise proximity of road and railway station/market might cause inconvenience).

Great location but hotel could use an upgrade.
Walls are thin and the neighbors were loud. Overall the price and location were great and I’d stay there again. I might just ask for a room on the second floor away from the main stairwell door.

Accommodating front desk, very helpful, with local maps etc. available. Excellent location, good wi-fi. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. A kettle in the room would be a great improvement and the bedding could do with improving/updating, but I would stay here again.

Nice budget hotel!
Excellent value for money! The staff was polite and friendly, speakinfìg a good English. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the old town and just in front of the bus, train and tram station. There's a huge food market one minute walking from the hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

Extremely pleased with our choice of hotel. Name doesn't inspire but it had all that was needed and required. Very clean rooms and staff friendly and helpful. Location great for Old Town although just on the wrong side of the tracks. Excellent value for money.

Old fashioned European hotel
If you are looking for something sleek and stylish book another hotel. This is a very old-fashioned hotel in an excellent location. I doubt much has changed here since the nineteen-sixties - or maybe the nineteen-fifties. Which is probably when the bathrooms were added that made what were once good-sized rooms into tiny cubicles. Everything was clean, but old. Bathroom was completely functional and clean. Beds might have done well in a college dorm - but beds and bedding were clean. Board floors with some older rag rugs. No where to unpack and nowhere to leave a suitcase open. Plug points were very limited. On the other hand, I would go there again and I would recommend it to friends. It was a very European experience and the staff were friendly and helpful. Attached cafe was pleasant, relatively inexpensive, and had very good food.

Good location for cheap price
Hotel in a good location for walking into the city centre. Small city so nothing is far away. Breakfast was an interesting mix, cereal, pastries, fruits and porridge. Was served an out of date bottle of beer but soon rectified when I pointed this out. All in all a good place to stay in.

I have booked this hotel 5 times , That should tell you all you need to know :-) Its a cozy , comfortable little hotel with good prices and about 10 minuets walk to the old city , Only down side is no air-con in rooms and on the one day of summer that Tallinn has it can be a little hot in rooms :-)

A cute hotel in an old building, rooms and bathrooms are clean but TINY, not good sound insulation, old TV, passable breakfast. Presently, everything around the hotel is under construction, but it is very close to the Old town, in walking distance from the sea port. It is an OK option, but very overpriced for what it is, FOR TALLINN. You can get a truly nice room in a nice hotel, less than half a block away for only $5-7 more, if it is not a week-end. Some front desk people are VERY nice, many special thanks to Ave :)

Europe on $5 a day Fifty Years Later.
Far-exceeded my expectations for a "budget" hotel. While the exterior, the interior corridors and woodwork are "worn", and there is no lift, the rooms are clean, quiet, with exceptionally modern toilet & fantastic double-headed shower set up. Breakfast is fresh, varied, extensive & complete for the 5 euro surcharge. Staff are superior in attitude, competency, helpfulness and eager to please the clients. Grocery & mini-mart close by as is a shopping plaza (not visited). Adjacent to Balti-Jamm intercity rail station, but you don't hear it.

A good mid-range hotel
It is a clean, confortable, mid-range hotel, conveniently located, immediately to the north of the Old Town. The very useful tram 2 stops nearby, and a supermarket is also very close. Friendly reception and reasonably priced. The quite good breakfast costs 5 euros.

Check in was fine and staff was generally helpful. Rooms could benefit from some updates in their furniture. Cleanliness was just acceptable. The hotel is at a walking distance from the old city centre and close to public transit. The surrounding area is in the process of being gentrified and reasonable restaurants are localized at a walking distance. Breakfast was too limited in choice. We had a reasonably good stay.

The location was great. The entire staff was exceptionally helpful, not only for me but to all the guests at the reception desk. No question that anyone had was unanswered and they went out of their way to assist in any way possible. Our hotels in the US could learn a lot from them !

Economy Hotell
The hotel is itself a wonderful budget hotel located within a short walking distance to the Old Town and the Balti Jaam bus terminal as well as the city's train station. There were several convenience stores and a supermarket nearby, not to forget the very unique Russian market just on the other side of the train station. The staff for a start spoke good English (thankfully as my Estonian is a lot worse than my Russian)! They were all very, very friendly and extremely helpful in giving directions, local information and ordering taxis. The rooms were absolutely immaculate and very cosy and we were very fortunate to have a lovely view of the Old Town from our room. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody who was visiting Tallinn as I believe it gives you everything that is needed for a short city break!

Room was comfortable and well maintain.The single room that I occupied is sufficient enough for a single person.The hotel is about 10 minutes by walking from old town.The receptionist were outstanding particularly Ave,very helpful in giving tips and suggestion on what to do in the old town.I highly recommend this place.

Excellent relation quality-price, staff very friendly and helpful. Good location. The hotel is not new but it is in excellent condition. I've been twice in this hotel. No lift if you have knee problems.

A Budget accommodation with helpful staff
Friendly and helpful staff. This budget accommodation is located next to the train station and close to public transportation. It is just outside the Old Town. The Old town square can be reached on foot, in about 20 mins. My room was basic, with heating and private bathroom. There is 24 hr reception and daily room service.
