Excellent base for TallinnPosted Dec 5, 2013
Excellent hotel in the heart of Tallinn's old town, has a real luxurious old world feel. Staff are lovely and speak perfect English. They were always happy to chat when we passed through. Several top restaurants are virtually opposite in the same road. Nothing bad to say, this really is one of the best hotels we've stayed at anywhere, it won't break the bank either. Fantastic!

A character hotel just off the Old Town Square.Posted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: The character, first class service and its location in the Old Town
Location: Few minutes walk from the Square in the middle of the Old Town, with a large Sports Centre and City Centre nearby
We had an excellent holiday at this fabulous hotel which provided first class service, second to none. The staff were particularly helpful especially with the specific diets which my husband and I required. The quality and variety of food was very good in the Estonian restaurant. We did not try the Russian restaurant and during our 5 night stay mainly sampled the different medieval restaurants in the Old Town . The hotel was full of character and our rooms were very comfortable offering those extra niceties and free WIFI. Our room was on the small size but we did have the cheapest Superior room and we could see that some of the other rooms near us were very spacious. The location just off the Old Town Square was fantastic for walking to the Square and exploring the Old Town and other sites in the City. Old Tallinn is such a romantic medieval place to spend a holiday. When we return to Tallinn again we will definitely stay at this Hotel

LOVELY HOTEL RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF THE OLD CITYPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: THE HOTEL IS QUITE SMALL, BUT A LOVELY OLD BUILDING. VERY COMFORTABLE AND NICE STAFF.
Cons: CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING. A LOVELY PLACE TO STAY.
Location: IT IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER FROM THE TOWN SQUARE AND PROBABLY ALMOST IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OLD TOWN. SHOPS, RESTAURANTS ALL AROUND.
POSSIBLE TO WALK AROUND THE OLD CITY IN AN AFTERNOON. THERE IS ALSO A SMALL 'TRAIN' TRIP YOU CAN TAKE FOR 6 EUROS FOR 1/2 HOUR AROUND THE OUTSKIRTS AND YOU GET A GOOD OVERVIEW. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL OLD CITY AND LOVELY TO ROAM AROUND IN THE AFTERNOON. YOU MUST GO UP THE TOP WHERE THE POST OFFICE IS AND WALK DOWN WHERE YOU ARE ABLE TO SEE OVER THE MODERN TALLINN FROM BOTH SIDES.

Great hotel in the heart of old townPosted Sep 4, 2013
We really enjoyed our stay - the staff was very attentive and helpful; the room was comfortable, contemporary and clean. The hotel location is excellent for all the old town sites and museums. The breakfast was great, too. We highly recommend it!

Quant and charmingPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel in the old town is charming, very central and great value. Staff could not have been more helpful. We found the room large, but a bit over furnished and we had a plumbing problem, but staff took action quickly to resolve it. The included breakfast was served in the restaurant and offered a great variety of cold food as well as a limited range of hot food. The old town is well worth a visit, narrow cobbled streets, the impressive Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the busy and charming town square, the fascinating old pharmacy and a host of delightful old buildings, all on your doorstep when you stay at the Hotel St Petersbourg. Highly recommended!

FairytalePosted Aug 27, 2013
The St. Petersbourg Hotel is centrally located in Old Town -- blocks to the square, major attractions, and the public transportation serving the larger city. Staff was cheerful and helpful providing directions, recommendations, needle and thread, etc. Most of the desk staff had excellent English. Room was good size (especially for Europe). Furnishings were modern and comfortable with nice touches such as a pants' steamer, hairdryer, shoe polishing, in room safe, turndown services. The room was dark and quite every night (though on the weekend the street noise goes until about midnight). The window and lamps provided plenty of lighting options. There were lots of electrical outlets. The bed and linens were excellent though I'm not a huge fan of the European bedding in that a comforter without a top sheet gives less temperature control options. As a woman traveling alone, I appreciated the location. The area had enough traffic day and night that I felt comfortable walking alone. My only complaint is that the weekend concierge was asked to place a wake up call and a cab for the morning of my departure. The call came 20 minutes late and there was no record of the cab request left for the morning staff. No harm came as I'd set my phone alarm, but it was an error. Overall, I think the hotel was a good value providing a location and quality that more than met my expectations.

Just a fantastic hotel with a great locationPosted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Fantastic location, right in the heart of the old town but on a little quiet square just around the corner from the Raojoka square (main square). Short walking distance to all major sites. Lovely staff who spoke perfect English. Plush room which was spacious and had lovely furniture and high ceilings. It had a fridge and a safe which was great. Bathroom was great with all the frills of a 5 star hotel. The wifi in the room was great and free. The cold breakfast was excellent quality and plenty of variety and they took your order for hot breakfast where you had a choice of porridge, eggs and pancakes. Could not have asked for better. Had such a lovely stay. Highly recommend it and would def stay here again.
