“"Not the best, but not the worst"”

Convienent if you just need some place to sleep, shower, and change. Customer service was great! Rooms were neat, but not the cleanest I have ever seen. Overall, I would recommend it if you need a quick stay somewhere for the essentials. Breakfast was also a plus!

“Clean room, nice location.”

The breakfast buffet consisted of bagels, bread, fruit, cold waffles, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, coffee and no tea so if you enjoy a good breakfast go out and don't rely on the buffet.

“Will Be Booking Again!”

I really enjoyed the facility. The employees were very considerate. The bathroom can use some updating but the overall time there was great.

“Maybe.”

I stayed in it twice and found it comfortable for the price. The first time, however, I did not get the room configuration I'd paid for because I was greeted as a "No-show" instead of the "Show-show" that I really was. On the phone, I'd told the agent that I'd check in late because I had to pick up my wife at the airport, so was not able to check in until about 1:30am. But, so what, since I'd paid for the room in advance! So, the clerk had given my room, with 2 beds, away, and I was forced to accept a room with only ONE bed. NOT what I'd paid for, so, how dare the clerk peg me for a no show and give my room away!!!!!

“Laquinta reliable comfort!”

I would definitely recommend this hotel, I have stayed here a few times and it is not first rate in terms of 4 star but it is very much comfortable and inviting. My only suggestion is that they revamp the type and quality of foods offered in the complimentary breakfast, but I guess you can't ask for much from a reasonable nights stay and free breakfast, I just find a Denny's or Ihop.

“WORST ON ITS KIND!!! I HAVE TO MOVE TO ANOTHER HOTEL”

“You get what you pay for”

I needed a room for a few nights to attend to family funeral arrangements. Turns out that Tamarac is a pretty large area and we were not as close to our family as I expected to be. More of a three story motel that a hotel. Road side, small rooms few amenities. Breakfast room could not handle the amount of people. But it was pretty cheap.

Area recommendations

No restaurant or bar in the hotel. They suggested a place nearby (a Flanigans, former Big Daddy's attached to another LaQuinta) but you could do much better

“Overpriced for what it was”

Visited friends @ the RV park a block away for the weekend, so stayed here @ their suggestion.The room was very quiet and comfortable for a great nights sleep on both nights.It was in an industrial/mixed use area that wasn't great but they do have a security guard who patrols the lot @ night.The continental breakfast was acceptable but the breakfast area was rather cramped.We went out @ 9am for the day and let the cleaning staff in the hall know we were leaving so they could freshen the room in our absence.We returned to nap @ 3pm to a dirty room and while sleeping the same staff member woke us to clean the room.I asked her to clean the room last and I was handed clean towels and told she would be leaving and not have time to return in a half hour, I asked the front desk to have someone freshen the room since it had not been done and went out for the evening.The bed was made but that was all, the room was not freshened.The rate was 40% higher because it's Ft Lauderdale

“just stayin over one night”

While not the Ritz Carlton, La Quinta does a consistently good job of making my stays uneventful. No surprises! Clean, 2 or 3 star hotels, in good locations with a decent breakfast for the lowest price in town. This one even has a pool! In case you are listening, La Quinta needs to upgrade their 27" tubes for LCD HDTV's. Please install these before my next trip or I could go elsewhere just for this difference.

I was just traveling overnight to go on a cruise. This location is actually north of FLL. I would have rather stayed in South Ft Lauderdale or Hollywood to save the gas and time to get to Miami..

“Top Notch”

The bed was comfy, ample pillows and the room had a mini-fridge and microwave. Free internet was available but I didn't have time to use it. Overall it had everything I needed and the price was moderate.
